hi all, one question about water temp adjustment map and ECU.
i checked informations about warm up and compensation for water cooling temp. i wonder if the 3000GT ECU is fonctionning as AEM EMS, but on AEM, the warm up and idle seems to be in open loop during a time depending of water temp. after this time, the closed loop is made ( feedback O² ) and the EMS keep a A/F made by the user. so, if the ECU work in the same way of the AEM ( the ECU always read water temp and adjust IPW in consequence ), playing with the "water temp adjustment map" should be just for warm up and idle, no ? the compensation for water temp when running, should be done by the " speed compensation map". the increasing of speed, result a decrease of water temp. what do you think about water adjustment ? is it needed to compensate at high speed ? thank's fred

2root4u: Maybe you need to try out the newer greddy CEL adaptor or build one from the specs provided on the other emanage installation thread. My 93 car was picky with the old greddy cel adaptor, and I'm building a new adaptor to try it out again.
Fred 62: Coolant/water map would normally be applied to all states (open loop, closed loop). The AEM EMS doesn't have an open loop/closed loop state because it's not restricted to a narrowband o2 limitations. The speed map would be good for gearing problems whereby your higher gears got too lean or required more fuel. Nobody as far as I know has played with either maps. |

From what I'm understanding here, I should stay with the stock turbo's/injectors/MAF until I can setup/tune with the EMU?
I'm expecting I have alot of bugs to work out before I go sticking bigger injectors/turbos on my RT... (By the way, I know jack and shit about Tuning, and Jack just left town ) |

I have a quick question on the wideband When selecting it in option 1 as A/F meter, what should the type be? I have a innovative LC-1 wideband.. thanks

you probably need to download the latest software update. I don't have an innovative A/F meter, but the software does offer "INNOVATIVE" as an option, so I woudl guess that's the correct one to use.

I have it set to "NGK AF BOOST" and scale set to 10.00 to 20.00 and it shows correct values. The latest version have Innovate as well, but the default scale is 7.35 - 22.39 which might be ok, but I haven't tested it yet.
