AudioPmp23,
the warm up is also fonction of water temp, intake temp, barro, MAF frequency. i think you should modify some datas in the differents maps when the engine is hot at idle ( from 176°F for example ). you can play with airflow map, I/J map1, timing map1. but only if you have a boomslang harness stage 3. when the car is hot for me ( 194°F ), playing with ignition will modify the RPM at idle ( -20° or +20° for example ). the engine can be more stable but RPM can decrease. after having a good tune when engine is hot at idle, the goal is to undertand how the ECU control the warm up. ( from 0°F to 190° of water for example ) ! the ecu will compensate at low temperature the injection and perhaps the timing. but what are the goods values ? playing with I/J and timing maps in fonction of water and air temperature should help a lot ! it is ok when engine is cold or hot, but at 100°F it is not that simple. too much or less injection or timing ? i don't know. i'm playing around warm up for the moment. and it is not that simple with big injectors. @+ fred

AudioPmp23:
If your datalogger is reporting the same value (38Hz) and the O2's aren't changing when you're making extreme changes in your airflow map then your setup is not working. Here's three possibilities: 1) The MAF wires are not wired in correctly. or 2) Your emanage configuration did not take. I've seen this happen when upgrading to a newer firmware and use your old configuration file. If you use the export function it will work temporarily until you power down the emanage. Copy down your settings on paper and start with a fresh map and emanage will be happy again. or 3) Your emanage hardware is defective (less likely). |

Im damn sure the wires are correct for the MAF. I followed the instructions from your thread as well as verified the wires comparing against an ECU pin diagram for my '93.
I thought of the possibility of the newer software (using 2.13) so I made a brand new map from scratch. The MAF I am using is a newer stock replacement so Im pretty sure it's not that. Do you think it's going into a safety mode? Similar to how you cant use too big of injectors using the SAFC because air correction can only do so much? I'll try and monitor today to see if the air correction numbers match at higher airflow numbers. Other than that Im ![]() EDIT: I monitored the A/F ratio and Airflow Hz by revving the motor and also using the A/C. The correction numbers work properly in the higher numbers. The correction is applied and the most difference between E-manage Hz and Datalogger Hz is 2-3Hz. Whereas I should be getting around 27-28 Hz at idle, the ECU must go into a safety mode where it wont allow anything less than 38Hz... lame

AudioPmp23: Do you have anti engine stall feature enabled? If it's enabled it might be clamping your signal to 38hz. Next if you're convinced everything is working fine and your theory is correct that your ECU won't accept any input lower -- then you'll have to wire your EMU to stage 3 and reduce the injector duty cycle after the ECU.

Is it true that it's a better idea to grab separate power for the adaptor? I can't see it drawing that much current. Also, can I use pin # 32 (Dark Blue/Yellow) for Water temp? Can I just tap the signal wire going into the ECU and configure it in Front Panel? SirLaughaloTT: The A/F harness is becoming hard to find due to national backorder through Greddy. I tried 15 shops and finally found one at Alamomotorsports.com. Call first to confirm "in stock" |

HELP !!
Does anyone know who has this in stock? --> Greddy A/F Option part# 15900912 I ordered it from Turbo Wholesalers but they just sent me an e-mail saying it's on back order for atleast 4 weeks. I really want to get the EMU installed on my car before the Texas gathering which is in 3 weeks. Thanks for your help, Phil
