There is also no AWD dyno in my state. The nearest one is ~3.5 hours away. AudioPmp, I'll post a map soon here. I need to do some data sampling as I'm gearing up to run speed density. Anyone have a 560cc map running speed density so I can get a general idea of what it will look like?

Also, quick question here. For my methanol injection, I'm running a snow performance kit with the VC-25D. It is hooked up to my MAF sensor and to a vac line...on their site it says that it uses both values and a "map" to inject the meth accordingly. Now, I'm planning on changing over to speed density soon...what can I do about this? Can I have the EMU emulate the HZ values so that my methanol will still work correctly?

Well, last night I gutted out the ol' MAF and converted her over to speed density!
And let me tell you...I didn't know it was that damn easy. Took about 3 runs to get a decent tune on it for WOT pulls. Absolutely no knock through 1-2-3. It was scary...I had never felt acceleration like that. Maps are soon to come. I'm just working out the bugs, as I believe it is still running a bit on the rich side. Also runs a little too rich at cruise for my liking, so I plan to fix that. But holy hell, what a difference. My brother was in the passenger seat helping me tune, and he had to hold the damn laptop open! ![]() |

My emanage is now officially annoying the hell out of me. I figured that I could just deal with the whole disconnecting thing...but no, its gotten to the point where its really annoying.
I've checked every connection possible, all the USB cables are plugged in firmly, I've tried other cables...I'm at a loss. Its so damn random, it will just kick me offline for no reason. About the only thing that is guaranteed is when I got WOT...I get booted about 5 seconds into a pull, every single time. That means no logs, which is ridiculous. Blah! |

Not sure why you're getting disconnected but you might wanna look into using the emanage's internal datalogger and see if that works out for ya.
My USB cable has gold connectors so maybe a high quality USB cable is in order? |

I'm finally getting around to tuning my car since ECG. I took it to ECG with the global injector sizing, and the car ran decent--right up until 15psi of course.
Now I'm trying to put a real tune on it. I've been fooling around with Gray Haze's method and also Trevor's speed density map. I'm having a real issue with throttle response though. Most of my testing was done with throttle blips at idle, but I experience the same response issue driving around the block. The lag between hitting the gas and the engine rev'ing is horrible. Using i/j adjustment, I've modified the afr to both the lean and rich ends of the spectrum. Only when I richen it up a ton is throttle response somewhat decent but not as good of as maf. I've played with the accel table, but it doesn't seem to help much. I remember having a some of this response/tip-in issue when driving to/from ecg but nothing this bad. When I switch back to maf and global injector sizing, the car definitely runs better. Has anybody else seen this issue when switching over to speed density? Any suggestions?

If you use Gray Haze's airflow output map the speed density conversion would be easier to get running correctly cuz that map simulates the stock MAF with uncorrected values or as stock 360cc injectors. Next use the I/J before and after corrections to compensate for your larger injectors. Your car should be running well below 100% input injector duty cycle, just apply tuning method #5 as outline in this thread to finish.
