Any ideas guys.. I'd like to figure this out as soon as possible.. thanks..

Greddy sells a meter cable to connect the water temp p/h/w gauge to the ultimate and the description says u can see, log, and set p/w options..
Would the ultimate be able to take that signal to make adjustments??? or is the its only purpose to allow you to display and log it???
I know that I can go find the air temp wire and put it to the water temp wire... but instead of doing that, this is a 4 dollar cable and would just be a very easy fix...
do you guys think the EMU can put that water temp signal to use for tuning, or only display it?
Thanks
Tony
edit: maybe the fact that I have the water temp fuel adjustment map running is messing everything up and the EMU assumes its 130C. Will disabling the map allow the stock ECU to control the car during cold starts?? What are my options here?
Thanks again..

I don't think you can make any adjustments off of data that comes into the serial port on the EMU. That is for logging only. IF you have a main EMU harness wire connected to the water temp wire on your car wiring harness, then depending on how your jumpers are set, you could be altering the signal going to your ecu. this will screw with your cold start fuel trims, ignition trims, fan control (2g cars) and so forth. That is if the ecu is reading yrou temp wrong. best to get a datalogger to figure it out, or fix the adjustment using the emanage, or disconnect the main harness wire.

If you have a knock/intake boomslang harness, it's 5 minutes job to switch it to water/intake harness... anyway, there's no point *tuning* your car according the water temp. It doesn't give enough feedback, it only tells if you are in the area where you can tune the car at all. Some features require the temp being in the specified range (like A/F target etc), for obvious reasons.
none of the diagrams are comming up in the first two posts.
Anyone else having this problem?
I just need to confirm which pins I need to connect the injector adapter for a 95 and I am using the boomslang harness.

My dad cancelled the internet subscription sooner than expected, and I didn't get a chance to download the images. This means I'll have to search my hard drive for them again. I currently don't have an internet connection, as I'm in the middle of moving. Give it a couple days for me to get back on my feet again.
can I connect the inj adapter directly to the boomslang harness? It would be much easier to solder on a bench rather than on the floor of the car?
and just to confirm it should be connected to the wires that go into the stock ecu side?

Easiest way is to solder the 6+1 wires to the boomslang wires, ecu side.
Someone said Greddy is informed about the problem. Anyone know any support etc. email address to Greddy, I'd like to push them for a fix too. How about every Ultimate user (and why not others too sending them some support requests...

Problem is, without a good rpm signal, the rpm jumps around. And since RPM was one of the parameters on my fuel map, then fuel injection control jumped around too... not good.
Did you actually launch using launch control? I set mine to 4500 rpm, floored it, held at about 4800 rpm and a few pounds of boost, then slipped the clutch a bit to baby it out of the hole, leaving my AWD 'calling card' on the pavement for quite a distance before getting traction. It was awesome.
I had to sell my car before finding a solution. I hope Greddy (or someone) figures out a way to have both clean rpm signals and the launch control.
Ok, I got my ultimate installed today.
I am using a boomslang harness w intake and knock.
Injector adapter installed also.
I have a greddy pressure sensor on option 1 and A/F meter to option 2.
I have only set the vehicle settings and set the two options plugs.
I set the injectors to stock 360 befor and after (thats whats inthere for now)
The car started, running rich according to my a/f meter 11-13 what do I do now????
I want it to program itself based on the a/f readings from the meter. From what i understand the emu does this.
do i need to set any other settings before i take it for a test drive?
After its running decently, I will be reinstalling 550 injectors.
Any help is appreciated.
