I saw three ultimate versions available, (air and water temp input) , (knock and water temp input), (knock and air temp input).
Any version will work fine because none of these extra options are needed. Personally, I'd pick the (knock and air temp input) version in the interest of datalogging.

I have chosen the knock/water version so I can log the water temp. Without the MAS in place I do not have any air temp signal.
I would expect the ultimate to pickup raw knock voltages. The raw knock voltages by themselves aren't useful unless you can apply a filter. Here's the filter or voltage cutoff that AEM EMS uses to determine if it's real knock or just noise. At low RPMS, any significant raw knock voltages is intrepreted as real knock, but as you go higher up the RPMS the valvetrain noise gets worse so the cutoff is adjusted higher.
Just to let you guys know that I've received the harnesses. The wires to the eManage Ultimate are made with the same colored wires as the original eManage harness. Perfect to follow a signal or to attach anything to a wire. Prize is not low but quality is good and since you don't need the Greddy harness it's even better. Definitely my choice for plug&play

What sub-harnesses does it come with?
Ultimate PnP harnesses come with ALL options! (Main, injector, ignition, and Ultimate sub-harnesses)
4. Will we get a CEL if we do stage 3? Yes, so buy the greddy adaptor to avoid it. PN#15901507.
I'm confused. What is the difference between an adapter, a harness, a sub-harness, and an option?
If I wanted this on my car, I think what I need is:
E-Manage Ultimate
Boomslang Ultimate Wiring Harness (with my choice of airflow and knock)
Greddy Pressure Sensor
Greddy Pressure Sensor Harness
GM IAT and a resistor for constant Baro signal
Innovate LC-1 Wideband O2
It is my impression there would be no CELs or anything else needed here. True? I wouldn't need a Greddy ignition adapter for stage 3, p/n 15901507, right?
You guys seem to have a good thread going here, all of you that are running this, or looking at it should be very thank full to blackstealth for all his work on this!
For those that are looking for a wideband, Innovate products work awesome w/ the EMU ... http://www.transonicracinginnovation...opic.php?t=281 that is my write up on how to set up the two products to play nice together. Hopefully that helps out some of you.
Now on to my questions ... have any of you had any of the injector problems above 14PSI that some seem to be experiencing? this is taken from the yahoo group, but is almost spot on the problem i am having on this 3000gt

Hey all. I recently installed my emanage ultimate after finally
getting some time to work on my car. Well anyways Its running really
rich at idle and cursing. Its running about 11-12:0 at idle and about
the same at idle. during normal accel its normal 13.8 or so. Also
having a problem with the injector control. At 14 or so psi my car has
boost cut, So i set the boost limiter cut so it clams the voltage just
before fuel cut. Now I boost it hits 14 psi for a second or 2 then
cuts out. I logged it in 3 gears (1st - 3rd) and the input injector
duty cycle hits 100% (I have bigger injectors 370->550) and output is
~ 75% or so, then all of a sudden the ouput duty cycle jumps up to
100%? does the Ultimate have a fail safe for this? Like as in if the
stock ecu sets the duty cycle to 100% it will also dump 100%.
I had the blue emanage before this and it would idle fine, drive fun
and run 18 psi no problem
My setup is 91 supra turbo. 1jzgte, stock ecu, sp63, 550cc injectors,
fuel pump, intercooler yadda yadda
I have a few more things to look into, and double check all of software and firmware versions, but they should be the newest. This is the first car i have had a chance to take about the 14psi marker w/ the EMU, so just wondering if anyone else ran into this yet!
I helped a friend of mine install this whole setup today (stage2) and this write was awesome BlackStealth - thanks so much man.
One question, we couldnt get his AEM Wideband to log properly, we wired it up to the pressure harness but weren't getting a signal.
Anyone know how you're supposed to wire the output? I just did white to white like the PLX one was.

What airflow meters are supported by the EMU beyond the restrictive stock MAS?
The ultimate now lets you mix and match different airflow meters (something the old blue version didn't permit before). The ultimate is japanese car based, so you're limited to whatever airflow meters are available to jap cars, eg. Toyota Supra. Domestic LS1, or LT1 airflow meters are not supported.

Everything you listed is correct. I haven't received any feedback from those that are running Boomslang Ultimate wire harness wether or not a CEL is a problem. I've got the greddy adaptor on order before I do stage 3 wiring on my car. I'm interested to hear their results too.

This problem has already been solved for those that are running stage 3 wiring. You must avoid 100% duty cycle as an input for the emanage as it cannot reduce a signal that appears as infinity. The easiest solution to avoid 100% duty cycle input is to use airflow correction.

Follow Tip #6 for setting up the software too. Keep in mind, the AEM wideband is not linear, so the raw numbers you get will have to be adjusted with a conversion chart for a proper AFR. I'd suggest selling the AEM and go for the linear innovative LC1 since they go for around $189.
