On the ignition problem, that is exactly what happened to mine, but I think all my posts on it were deleted when 3si did a system restore. I followed the same path you seem to be following too, so let me summarize...
I went out and drove the car and all was fine. Came home, tried to start it again in a few hours, and nothing. I tested everything, and confirmed that I had fuel and air, and that all the sensors were working, but I had no spark. I also suspected JP8, and participated in a few posts on the EMU yahoo groups site about it, and some people ran JP8 at 1-2 and others at 2-3. I ONLY ran mine at the 5v default setting of 1-2.
I ended up rigging up an ignition bypass on my EMU harness, basically by cross connecting the EMU ignition input wires directly to the output wires and leaving EMU out of the picture as a test. The car fired right up, so I knew the problem was in the EMU. I ended up sending it to Greddy and they fixed it. I have no idea if it was the same ignition problem so many have had with the EMU, but I've assumed it was.
Bypassing the EMU would either eliminate or confirm it. I ran JP8 at 1-2 with no problem, so I don't think that's the issue.
On the temp sensors, I measured both water and air temp with EMU. I used Pocketlogger too, and Pocketlogger and EMU never agreed with each other, even though they were reading the exact same sensors. I believe the EMU logic must have a different conversion table than the stock ECU, although they were always somewhat close. I believe the Pocketlogger was more accurate; the car behaved just as it should when temps reached certain thresholds as reported by PL.
It runs and the fans work
- Pulled the ultimate, swapped JP8 back to 1-2, inspected the ignition chp (yet again) (good!)
- Re-installed ultimate
- Checked fuses again...all good and all were in the right place
- Cut the water temp wire that went to the ultimate and stashed it away
- Logged the OBD2 stock computer with the key in the on position (good)
- It cranked right up
- Warmed it up to 207F and the fans kicked on no prob. Kicked back off again at 196F. (OBD2 matched the defi temps)
- Shut it down and restarted it immediately
- Let it sit for 1.5 hours and it re-started no prob.
I don't know what the problem was but hopefully its fixed.
can someone please check the yellow led on the ultimate and let me know if its on with the ign and when no usb cable is plugged into it. Its the interaction led.
Thanks.
It very slowly blinks under said conditions.

Just a quick question on speed density here. After reading the thread in general about the HP difference between speed density and stock maf...I've decided I really need to go SD. So, the stuff I need would be just the pressure sensor and pressure sensor harness, correct? I'm at the stage 3 wiring and everything is working good so far.
Also, one more thing...to log my wb02 (aem uego), which harness thing do I need? The $25 one on mohdparts?
Realistically, how long does it take to get a half decent tune with speed density? I'm waiting on my dead wb02 gauge to come back so I can finally do some good tuning. Thanks!
