Did you guys have to wire in the adapter before or after the emanage taps the injector wires coming from the ecu? Or does it matter? I'm guessing between the ECU and where the EMU hits the injector wires.
And you put it on 12V ignition? yeah... that makes sense
The pic in the instructions shows the adapter wired in between the ECU and the EMU injector INPUTs.
Problem resolved. I removed the Stage 3 wiring which affords the EMU direct control over the injectors. The problem went away. Either 1) the wiring was done incorrectly, 2) there is a problem with the adapter, or 3) there is a compatibility problem with the car. I will wait to see how others do with their adapters before reaching any conclusion.
That was reported in another thread in the AWD Forum. So the summary is this...
I started my EMU project by installing up through stage 3 and tuning. I noticed having to pull lots of fuel (at idle and cruise, but close at WOT) and got the CEL. Then I installed the Greddy fuel injector adapter per the instructions. The CEL and rich condition went away, but my previous tune didn't work as it was now too lean (at idle and cruise, but close at WOT again), so I started over by richening up the idle. But I got this strange hesitation that felt like blowout at WOT, and the NBO2 logs showed the front bank going dangerously lean at WOT at 4200-5500 rpms at the same time.
I pulled the plugs (heat range 9 race plugs) and regapped them to .022, but that made no difference. I decided to revert to stage 2, eliminating the adapter, and tuned using the airflow map instead of the i/j adjustment map. I'm still having to richen up the idle significantly, but the hesitation/blowout/lean condition at 4200-5500 RPM is gone. As for the cause, I don't know yet. See the quote at the beginning of this post.
I'm going to finish tuning via the airflow adjustment map, and continue my quest for speed density before trying stage 3 again.
I believe you can only use either the Airflow Output Map or the Airflow Adjustment, but not both. So to run speed density you need to convert back to stage 3 to tune with the I/J Adjustment or just tune in stage 2 with the output map.
I wish to share an Excel VBA program that I made which is sort of similar to BlackStealth's but with a simple GUI. How or where can I upload it to? Or can I just email it to somebody?
Here is reg22's utility in help creating an airflow output map (or speed density map) from your datalog. It requires Excel on your computer, and the program works great. http://home.cogeco.ca/~stealthguy/Ul...e_Ultimate.zip

Mine is installed, and I figured I'd just drive it to work this morning like I did the whole week before installing the adapter. Uh, no... way leaner than pre-adapter. I had to trim fuel before at idle, and just to keep it running I had to add fuel this morning. I thought I'd be able to adjust the idle and be good to go, but no way. When I get home, I'll start tuning from scratch to see what I come up with.
Last Fall I was running stage three wiring without the adapter. I also had to pull fuel out of the idle. I had the tune real close using speed density with excellent drivability. Thanks for the posting your results after your installed the injector adaptor. What you said about the ECU going into limp mode makes sense. I will install my adaptor soon but will not be able to play with it until I install the new motor.
Glad I do not have much time into my map. Thanks for the info.

Thanks!
Nice utility, and a great user interface. But I continue to get overflow error messages. Is there a limit to the size of the logs that can be processed? Is there a certain way to set the logger to work with this utility? I have logs with 27,000 line items.
