Keep them at the defaults (the ones greddy sets up for engine code 6G72). I'd suggest trying speed density with your factory MAF to see how you like it before going through the trouble of doing an IAT and fixed baro. When I used speed density I kept my original IAT and baro, didn't care that there would be a slight error with the baro as it only represents a small change.

I've been running the stock MAF for the last year. I'm close to giving up on this car -- maybe parting it out this winter. In the mean time, I figured I'd try some different things to see how it performs. I've had the resistors and GM IAT sitting around. Just threw them in the car today. Drove fine afterward, so no major difference. After installing the GM IAT, I did try using the IAT table to adjust my whole map. After my last dyno tune, I've been running crazy rich. I figured its an issue of temp/humidity differences. After taking 6% off the whole map, the car definitely woke back up. With this plugged into my stock MAF, could I have used the same IAT table? My IAT section in the configuration was unchecked. Either way, I've cut over to the GM IAT and resistors now. So the real question is, can I get this car to keep a decent tune even with varying weather. With the stock MAF, I couldn't. Maybe this new configuration will work better. Or maybe using the IAT table will be my solution. Or maybe, I'll end up parting out the car. Who knows. Last edited by 2root4u : 09-21-2008 at 08:40 PM. |
