2. You shouldn't tune for 14.7 when the engine is cold as it will run terrible. You should be around 12.5 - 13 AFR when the engine is cold. Again you shouldn't be tuning when the engine is cold, wait until your engine is hot before tuning for 14.7. Once you get it dialed for 14.7 for hot engine, the stock ECU will automatically make it richer when the engine is cold.
yes but i did tune it when the engine was fully warm. that is when i noticed that it misfires terrible. so i went back and made it rich. i also replaced my messed up ecu board with one from orielly's. i replaced my caps but the board wasnt so good so i thought that might be it, well it wasnt. also i had to use the rpm signal from the ecu for a good steady tach as using the timing for rpm was sometimes jumpy. double and tripled checked wiring. |

Yeah I use the real RPM signal from the ECU to feed emanage's RPM input as it's nice and smooth.
If your tune is good for hot engine and only your cold tune is too lean then yeah use the "Water temperature adj map" to increase the duty cycle to correct. |

Can anyone confirm that this list of wires is what is to be NOT USED.
1. Ignition Input Signal CH6 - Light Blue / White 2. Ignition Input Signal CH5 - Pink / White 3. Ignition Input Signal CH4 - Purple / White 6. Ignition Output Signal CH6 - Light Blue / Black 7. Ignition Output Signal CH5 - Pink / White 8. Ignition Output Signal CH4 - Purple / Black 14.Airflow2 (Voltage) Input/VTEC Output - Yellow 15.Airflow1 (Voltage) Input - White 22.Airflow1 (Voltage) Output - Green 26.Injector Input Signal CH7 / A - White / Red 27.Injector Input Signal CH8 / B - Green / Red 31.Analog (Voltage) Input - White / Gray 32.Knock Signal 1 / Water Temp Signal - Dark Blue / Yellow 33.Crank Angle Signal Input - Gray / White 37.Analog (Voltage) Output - Green / Gray 38.Knock Signal 2 / Intake Temp Signal - Purple / Yellow 39.CAM Angle Signal Input - Gray / Black 40.Vehicle Speed Signal Output - Brown / Yellow 41.Vehicle Speed Signal Input - Light Blue / Yellow I the instructions that blackstealth provides does it say to install any of these. I believe I installed some of them becuase I originally started installing using soley the diagram provided in the emu installation instructions and I think I may have installed some things that I dont need and perhaps that is causing some of the problems.

1. Ignition Input Signal CH6 - Light Blue / White
Don't install 2. Ignition Input Signal CH5 - Pink / White Don't install 3. Ignition Input Signal CH4 - Purple / White Don't install 6. Ignition Output Signal CH6 - Light Blue / Black Install ONLY IF you are going individual ignition 7. Ignition Output Signal CH5 - Pink / White Install ONLY IF you are going individual ignition 8. Ignition Output Signal CH4 - Purple / Black Install ONLY IF you are going individual ignition 14.Airflow2 (Voltage) Input/VTEC Output - Yellow Install ONLY IF you are usign the VTEC map to activate something else electrical 15.Airflow1 (Voltage) Input - White don't install 22.Airflow1 (Voltage) Output - Green don't install 26.Injector Input Signal CH7 / A - White / Red use if you have an external warning or additional injector to trigger 27.Injector Input Signal CH8 / B - Green / Red use if you have an external warning or additional injector to trigger 31.Analog (Voltage) Input - White / Gray Use if you want ot convert an input/output voltage manually (like from a different TPS or something..........or if you want to log a voltage manually) 32.Knock Signal 1 / Water Temp Signal - Dark Blue / Yellow Use if you want to have wideband feedback and/or coolant temp based fuel and timing adjustment OR monitor Knock 33.Crank Angle Signal Input - Gray / White Install this 37.Analog (Voltage) Output - Green / Gray Use if you are outputing a modivied voltage to something (like if you used a different TPS for your car or something) 38.Knock Signal 2 / Intake Temp Signal - Purple / Yellow use if you want to have IAT based fuel and ignition timing adjustment OR monitor knock 39.CAM Angle Signal Input - Gray / Black install this 40.Vehicle Speed Signal Output - Brown / Yellow install this if you want to log vehicle speed or if you want to alter the signal to the stock ecu (I don't think we have speed limiters) 41.Vehicle Speed Signal Input - Light Blue / Yellow install this if you want to log vehicle speed or if you want to alter the signal to the stock ecu (I don't think we have speed limiters)

Under parameters in the emanange, how do you want to set up the ch settings if your using a gm IAT? Also, what should I be using in all my maps as far as drop down window? Should I use relative pressures or should I select greddy pressure sensor? |

For the IAT, I believe the Mitsubishi sensor aligns the best with the GM sensor, but I wired mine to be independent fo the stock ecu, so the e-manage is the only thing that reads it. For the drop down menus, if you are using the greddy pressure sensor, I believe you select that. I am about 80 % sure on that though as I don't have my laptop with me, but I don't see how you could go wrong there (unless it maps in proportion to pressure sensor voltage, then it might be confusing.). Just try it an duse map trace to see what it does, and see it if makes sense. if the highlighted cell doesn't trace the way it is supposed to, change it up.

ok, i searched this thread, but it didn't come up with much. anyways, i just got my profec E-01 in today and i have some questions:
1. will the E-01 be able to control the EMU or was it only made to work with the blue? 2. there's a jack that looks like a stereo headphone on the E-01 that's supposed to run to the emanage, which port does that plug into on the EMU? the switch or the serial port? also, is it a generic mono plug or a stereo plug? 3. will plugging in the E-01 to the EMU allow the EMU to read the boost pressure? Thanks ![]()
