Default Tuning Maft Gen II

I just installed this on my 92 VR-4 with my friend and he did a fast 10min tune. It runs fine but I was just hoping to get a finer tune and learn how to tune it myself.
I am totally new into this tuning issue. Right now I am using stock maf. we have connected wideband to this unit as well. I have aem uego.

So... basically I just want to learn the basics of Maft Gen II.. so can anyone kindly explain about this unit to me??
