Also, I have hot start issues that I still had when I put the stocker back in which i think is related to the supra fuel pump or the fuel system since its the only thing that was modified when I put it back together. Are there any added features? Does automapping actually work on the series 2? Is igntion/knock control improved? From what your saying it has WB control built in? Will our base tune really be a plug and play this time around with everything setup to work right out of the box and just some WOT tuning needed?

Sam,
Can't go into detail right now (just because a million things happening in the shop) but I'll skim over stuff.
The bouncing idle is due to a lean spot in your VE map where the RPM's come back down "through". It won't be right where it idles, but it will be either above, below, or at a higher load value.
Don't use automapping.
Hot start issues are due to air in your rails, fuel vaporizing. You can do some target start vs temp tables that a good tuner will sort for you and you'll never know its there.
Knock control
flexibility is improved, but if you are having a problem with series 1 knock control, most likely it is user error and not the system, and I don't mean that as an attack, it is just typically the case. I was at SEMA last week and the EFI University guy was pretty confused about it himself lol.
The previous base tune was very good, I have to finalize the new base tune for the box, which I am trying to do asap. However, again, it will be just for startup, not for driving on. It was never advertised, nor intended, nor will it be intended to be sold as a "tuned" box ready to drop in. That would be a million blown engines waiting to happen!
