Default PHANTOM KNOCK - logs

So.. I got mmcd logger working.. I must say... its bad ass!!!!

I'm trying to see why i get phantom knock... happens at odd times
eg: < 10% tps.. cruizing speeds < 3000RPM or when i start off from a stop - dont know if I just have a bad knk sensor... it just seems overly sensitive...
and i get NO knk at WOT 13psi 13.0 WB/o2

also if any of u gurus have time.. and u notice anything odd. plz let me know
as i plan on installing my 550's this weekend and turning up the boost!!!

note: captured ALL avalible parms..
I have yet to wire my WBo2 in and boost from scanmaster...
another project....

any tips on this? just wire up the 0 - 5v analog input, config ERGT1? on SM? then set to WBo2 in mmcd?

nate,

About sending the Wb02 values to mmcd, there was a thread not too long ago where some found out that mmcd V1.8 has the wrong source code (probably was old news to some) so it will not convert your voltage correctly and displays the wrong value. I believe that v.1.6 n has the correct source code so it will allow you to log WBo2. However, you lose some of the great advances in mmcd that v1.8 has. What we really need is for Cbatters (if he wouldn't mind) to post the source code so that someone could scale the egrt correctly so that it accepts WB02.

On the account of phantom knock, I log some as well but it doesn't affect timing so I don't get concerned. Bad motor mounts could possibly cause phantom knock to appear so I would check those along with your knock sensor.

Sorry I can't look at your log since I am in class but I'm a new at this kind of stuff anyway so hopefully someone else could help you out.

Mike
