One thing though...i just went out to my car and adjusted my TPS sensor. It used to read .9x Volts at idle, now it reads .60 Volts. The car wasn't cycling this time, but time will tell if it is a permanent fix.

Also, the RPM on my maft-pro sensor monitor page is about 200 RPMs lower than the RPM on my stock tachometer.

edit: the car runs lean, too and my mainscale can't fix it.

The stock tach reads high. I used a digital tach to set my idle, and the stock tach reads a half notch unter 1K, when I have true 800 RPM.

[edit]: If you decide on selling it, hit me up.

Mine seems to match the tach fairly well... not enough to pick up a deviation anyway.

get trims, air temp, baro, etc. I want to make sure all the data is correct from the ECU point of view.

Your afterstart is 0, which will make the warmup lean.

We will get this nailed down.

Bob

(Rob, the "new" VE table needs a couple more tweaks.... then I will post it.)

Whats funny is that it's only at about idle. If I try and hold like 2K (back when my car ran, lol), it matched the electronic tach close enough, but at idle it said 800 when stocker said 1K....It never bothered me, since the car sounds better when the stocker said 800, and the electronic (and datalogger) said 560RPM.....can you say lope? or "burble" more precisely.

Mine just idles lean. Everything else is perfect. If I drive this thing the AFR are exactly where they should be, even under boost. Minimal tuning is needed.

Okay, this is my second day with the correct TPS values and it's idling pretty well, almost as smooth as stock. Now my curious problem is that when I rev the car just by steping on the gas a very little bit, the RPM drops fast then it revs up normal. If I step on the gas fast and a lot, it revs no problem. What value do I change to get this problem right? I think it's going rich for a second. Should I lessen my TPS enrich?

BTW: I'm still looking for my palm pilot charger.

I edited my first complaint of the throbbing idle and posted the true problem so no one would have to read all of this to find the solution.

Glad to hear its running better.

Attached is a BIN I worked out today.

The VE table is improved some, it drives quite well.

I am using a slightly different IAT mode in this BIN.

[geek] The IAT signal is being converted to mitsu scaling and sent to the ECU, the IAT is not used in the speed density calculation. I did this by setting V Out 1 mode to 6, and airflow source to 1. It works well, and you can log the IAT with a regular logger. [/geek]

mines been idling rough and very lean 18.0-16.0 lately how did u fix it? my car runs smooth while cruising and wot but idle is my problem spot now. what did u do to fix yours, and how much did u mess with the tps enrich? i dont really mess with anything in response, only low, mid, high.

Well, I never fixed the lean idle. For me, it just read lean on my wideband sensor. I don't hear or feel a problem with the idle. Also, a few people here said that these cars idle lean on purpose. Idk why. My mainscale has no effect on my idleing condition. I think you'll have to do like I did and post some of your sensor numbers up.

Is this worse when the engine is cold?
