try setting your afterstart to 0. I have an EVO8 customer who's car prefers no afterstart.

Can you tell me your trims, low, mid, high, and O2, warmed at idle and cruise?

Refresh my memory, where is your IAT sensor installed? Can you email me your BIN? What version MAFT Pro do you have (displays the version at startup...)

Bob
ok i will set after start at 0, my trims are idle low- 132, mid-140, high- 131, O2- 135-140; Cruise low-132, mid-140, high-131, O2-100.

my IAT is installed rightbehind my TB on the plenum. I dont have my laptop and i have never use the laptop, because i cant get iot to connect. so i guess i have the original version.

btw my mainscale is -39.5% because i have 650ccinjectors, but scaled down to 595cc by my fp being set at 36psi

You will probably roll your eyes at this one, but I think it may be lean......

try adding fuel in the mainscale until the idle low trim is under 100 (mine is 81) and the idle O2 trim is 100 or lower.......

All your trims will come down then.

you may want to adjust the afterstart some after you do this, but I think you will have a better tune with the added fuel.

do you have a wideband in your car?

I will try to log a coldstart today or tomorrow.

hahaha

even though according to the formula you think i should add fuel for my size injectors? the formula say -39.5% but i can try and add fuel. how much do u think im gonna have to add? what about the low mid high points? should i set those all back to zero and basicly start over from scratch? what should i set my after start to?

and yes i have a wide band but its sitting in my truck. im installing it when i do my clutch next week.

i know his trims all point to lean, but i think hes stalling rich which is why his car wont start afterward and his plugs smell like gasoline, i also know why its doing this because i had the same problem a little while ago

basically the tap at the TPS wire is shitty, you really cant use a t-tap for this connection, its very sensitive. When it gets cold, my car started stalling rich randomly and i narrowed it down to the TPS wire not being tapped well (verified by logging via tuner pro r/t). I pulled off the t-tap and soldered in the wire correctly and i suggest you do the same.

also if you want to start your car right after it stalls rich, just pull the fuse to your fuel pump hotwire so you starve your engine of fuel for a few seconds, let it run for 3 seconds and put the fuse back in while its running and it should be good to go

ok sweet ill do that when i get home. cuz it only does this from time to time especailly durring a cold front or colder than normal weather.

as for fuel. i added a little bit of fuel and it seemed to help. i have a better idle and cruising is better as well. i have a lot of fine tuning to do but i have the mainscale set where i need it. now its for afterstart and then crusing tuneing. then once the widband is in its wot tuning.

The injector correction calculation is a guideline, as a starting point. Your car is telling you what it wants (begging, actually)

There are tons of threads like "tell me what to set my AFC to"....... Its not a simple math problem. There are many differences in injectors other than the static flow rating. (pintle mass, inductance, spray cone angle, droplet size, temperature effects, etc.)

So set the mainscale for proper trims and go from there.

Bob
(and check the TPS input, you might have a "Rustang" in there......)

just looking over some things, i never really payed any attention to it, but my Frequency Input/Frequency Input2/Frequency Input3 are all always 0.00 is this a problem, or could this be causing anything?

my car has been running decently until recently (having crusing problems and an occasional idle problem) , but the Frequency Input has always been 0...

The frequency input is only used when you have a MAF connected. The you could read the input frequency on those channels (the 1,2,3 are just different graph scalings of the same value)
