People running speed density with the stock induction have you found the K&N RE-0870 Air filter to work best? This seems to be what was used with the Original Maft, thinking its ok here too but also want to get the biggest unit that fits well (IE not rubbing on everything).

this was taken a long time ago, but its the filter i still have, no clue which one it is, just one of the K&N filters..

seems to work perfect. i put a pvc reducer i think 5" > 3.5" or something like that, works perfect, looks like the air filter is hooked directly up to the T pipe..

if you want to have a temporary fix just get a clamp and then clamp down a screen over the oval opening.

I am about ready to order a bulk portion of 4" Aluminum Tubing (have to buy 24-36" length IIRC), and will be cutting cut down into ~3.5" length sections. The wall thickness is closer to .065" and will fit the induction perfectly. PVC is cool as it will work, but the shit is soo thick that you effectively narrow down your inlet about 15mm... which is silly IMHO (100mm vs 85mm). If anyone is interested in the aluminum inserts, I could send out whats extra for ~$10 shipped ea. You just need to then order the 4" flange diameter K&N, apparently the RE-0870 is what I am going to use......
