My laptop is Win 98, my desktop is XP Pro. both work fine.

Are you using the black cable that was included with the Pro? Extension cables other than the USB doodad?

im using the black cable with the usb/serial converter, i honestly gave up on getting the laptop to work for now (ill wait until i get the cable you're using)

you can actually tune very well with just the unit itself and my scanmaster 3 of course

if i didn't already own a laptop id be kind of upset to have bought one just to tune the maftpro...its totally unecessary IMO

I hooked up my AUX wire to the power wire of my water/meth pump and ive currently got a rough tune where I pull 5% fuel at 2800rpm and 10% fuel from 3400rpm to 7600rpm

i forgot how much fuel w/m injection really adds, the wideband a/f dives from 12.3:1 straight down to 10.1:1 when it activates

i have AFR tracking set to give me 12.5:1 across the board, how will the activation of the AUX wire affect this exactly?

The trigger wire actually adjusts the fueling and the target AF Ratio (sort of a double adjustment). I will be making the adjustments separate in the next software release.

On my GN I just let the alky fly and have the pro deal with it.... There is a screenshot of it working on the full throttle site. The correction goes from +10% to -10% when the alky kicks on.

typical alky injection is about 25% max for methanol. How hard are you spraying? Which kit do you have? (is the pump pulsed?)

I have always maintained that the unit is very tunable without a laptop. Actually only a couple guys are laptop tuning. (I use the keypad myself)

However, the logging capabilities are great too.

12.5 is on the lean side for pump gas, probably ok for alky.

There is not much power loss at 11.5, and its much safer for testing new setups.........

im spraying 800ccs of prestone de-icer 60% water/ 40% meth , its the snowperformance kit and it is pulsed

you should definitely seperate them in the next software release, i should probably change my -10% across the board to -5% across the board, as it sounds like the -5% will be taken out twice anyway

12.5:1 is what my old tune was like on w/m and 93 pump gas, i never saw any knock and even had some timing advance

Well, you don't want to pulse the aux input.

If you set your target AFR to 11.5, then set your aux to -10% it will pull 10% fuel, AND move your target AFR to 12.5 (roughly) when aux is triggered.
