I love the idea of WBO2 tracking, and built in boost control. Plus teh no-mas setup will give me room for the air to liquid intercooler i've been dreaming up. Not to mention the EXCELLENT support from Bob!

Few questions:

I already have a Scanmaster 3 and LM-1 wideband. Can I run the wideband to the scanmaster and to the Maft-pro simultaneously?

What would I be missing out on by not using a laptop? I don't have one and won't be getting one soon. I'm not too worried about logging because I can do that with the scanmaster/palm/mmcd i already have. What is the laptop used for in tuning that you can't do with just the maft-pro box?

i show in my how to how to hook up the scanmaster, lm1 and maftpro to see the same w/b signal, it works perfectly

you'll be missing out on logging and updating the unit, everything else can be done with the 'maft-pro box'

the only thing you will not be able to do without a laptop is tweak the VE table, which is has not been necessary for 99% of the guys.

You will be missing out on logging. But next year I plan to release a Palm based logging utility for the Pro....

the scanmaster cant log things like "afr correction"

i think a laptop is completely unecessary, the SM3 logs everything i need to know

Rustang is right, The scanmaster cant log the afr correction, the pro can't see knock.

But developments are ongoing to coordinate logging of all this stuff.....

Stay tuned.

I need to start saving up.....by the time I get enough money, timing control will be out and....

To think I decided to rather spend my "winter mod" money on coilovers for a car that doesnt run yet, lol.

maybe a related problem that i need help with too.. my car idles really bad when cold (dies if i dont touch the throttle, but if i hold the throtle steady at about 5% the revs bounce from 400 to 2000 back and forth..) (afterstart comp is set to 10)

i have also been having a problem that is off and on and is REALLY pissing me off.

when i cruise down the interstate and try to keep it at a steady speed, you can feel the car jerk around really hard between accelerating and engine breaking and the AFR's jump from 14ish to 30+ at that exact point. it makes it very hard to cruise around. the wierd thing about it is that if i let off the throttle at a rapid speed, you cant feel it, but the second you try to slowly slow down, or even stay at a steady speed, the car acts like its jumping from 10% throttle to 0% throttle instantly.
