You won't need the MAS if you are going speed density. You need the MAP (baro) because, well, how else are you going to tell the ECU how much air is in the plenum?
Timing is in the works.

arn't the map sensor and baro sensor 2 different things....how is the gm map sensor telling the ecu what boost is or manifold pressure if there is no map wires in the ecu harness

"Out" is a relative term.
It is "done" and many guys have updated to it (I sent them the files). I have not posted the files, but will do so in the very near future. A 1994 is known as a hybrid ECU, since it is an in-between year between the old style 1G ECU and the newer OBD-II stuff. MAP and BARO are not the same thing. MAP = Manifold Absolute pressure and gives the Translator Pro the measurement of the vacuum/pressure in the intake manifold. BARO = Barometric pressure sensor. The 3S stock MAF has a BARO sensor so the stock ECU can calculate airflow. Bob

Timing control is still in development. Speed density means no MAF For speed density you use a GM MAP sensor and IAT. No MAF. When you remove the stock MAF, the ECU still needs a BARO signal. The MAFT Pro has an output to replace the BARO signal and this gets connected when you install the pro. Bob |

Jeremy is referring to the EGRT wiring in the 1G and hybrid cars. By connecting the MAP sensor to the EGRT input on the ECU, you can log MAP (boost) with your datalogging systems (Pocketlogger/ShiverVR4/MMCd/TMO/Scanmaster)
The EGRT - MAP stuff is just for logging and is not involved in running the engine. Bob |

So: Running with MAF (GM or stock): MAP sensor only for logging boost. Speed Density: MAP used for logging boost, and to run the MAFT Pro. Bob |
