I usually set the AFR tracking enable delay to have a slight hesitation (.1-.2 seconds). This allows the AFRs a little bit of time to 'normalize' before tracking engages. I noticed it helped in the lower gears, since the engine revs so fast.

I'll second that. You are a most helpful chap indeed.

Cambelt is done. What a nightmare. I couldnt get the crank mark to
match perfectly. It was/is a millimeter or two advanced of the mark.
Hopefully as the belt stretches and the slack gets taken up by the
tensioner it will come into alignment. It drives just the same.
Trouble is, knowing what I know now about what is turning the cam sprockets, I'm even more reluctant to use the loud pedal! lol

Laters,
Paul.

Thanks.

Good that you got it done. Did the drop-throttle settings help?

I havent really noticed yet. Only one drive to work so far; will check the
logs tonight. I was too pre-occupied with thoughts of belts snapping this morning. lol

Would you explain how the drop throttle works? Coz I think its about
limiting the output frequency to the ECU for a period of time, after the driver
backs out of the throttle just a little?
Didnt it used to use the tip-in settings to control tip-out too?

Paul.

From the new manual:

Quote:
When above the RPM and TPS settings, the Limiter "arms", then when the throttle drops under the MAF Limit TPS Threshold setting, the calculated airflow is limited to a values set by the MAF Limit + MAF Limit / KRPM. The airflow is limited for a maximum time set by the MAF Limit Time setting.
Basically it limits the airflow signal sent to the ECU so you don't have an overly-rich deceleration issue.

I see, after plenty of thinking. Thanks.
Will have a better shot at it tomorrow.

it went away for about 3 days then comes and goes. so tonight as Im driving home, and around 3000rpm start gently moving/giggling the 10 pin connector on the MAFT-pro unit and sure enough bam!!! i hit 12 psi car feels normal again, so Im suspect the MAP sensor wire is suspect, possibly the TPS input as well. anything else this could be? any suggestions, what to look for, etc, etc.. I know the blue wire is the TPS wire, which wire(s) are for the MAP sensor??
any help, info is greatly appreciated in advance

so this evening, I double check all connections, wires on the 10 pin connector, they all looked sound, not loose or anything, so I drive , only to 5 psi then spitting sputtering POS,, I then just pressed down on the edges of the 10 pin connector itself, hit 15 psi no problem, so an assumption of the connector itself is not making good contact inside the maft pro unit? my guess would be the TPS or RPM signal is getting noise somehow, even though both seem to be logging fine.. The TPS makes more sense though, good sensor, just bad connection, either way, ill play with the connection or just put a tie wrap around the connector and unit itself(maguyver a team it) either way hopefully this is my problem.

Take a look at the plug, see if any the pins are 'stretched out'. If so, you might need to take a needle and bend them back.
