I tried changing each value on the MAP axis to random values (38, 36, 34, 32, ...), saving bin & xdf, uploading bin, verify (which failed), downloading bin, viewing MAP axis, all values reverted to original 00, 20, 40, 60, upload again with reverted map axes, verify (which succeeds).

It's like the MAP axis changes don't upload to the maftpro, all other changes upload properly.

now what? give up on user-defined map axis?

Here is what I would do.

download the latest tunerpro and get it running.

Then re-update the Pro with 5.03 to reset the defaults.

The do a memory reset on the Pro, to reset the settings.

then upload the stealth503 bin I posted, which will setup the user defined axes to match mine.

wait at least 5 seconds (the user defined stuff does not activate immediately upon uploading.

then download the BIN from the pro and do a save-as, and use this to build your own bins from.

Bob, did you see any issues with the tune response settings I posted a page or so back?

As for the tune response settings....

TPS Enrich - 0.50
TPS Decay - 1.20
TB Size - 7
TPS MAPmax - 104
MAP Enrich - 0.40
BST Enrich - 0.10
MAP TPSmin - 0.860
MAP RPMmin - 2560
MAF Lim TPS - 0
MAF Limit - 0
MAF /K RPM - 0
Lim Min RPM - 0
Lim Time - 0.0
with too much enrichment, you wind up getting a little stumbly because the ECU pulls timing when you stab it. I run the TPS enrichment around .30, and the decay around .80

You may need more boost enrichment to keep it from going lean after a WOT shift as the boost rises quickly, perhaps .25

The MAP TPS min should be a little higher (.1) than your idle TPS. It prevents the MAP enrichment from triggering at idle. The MAP Lim RPM is a little high but I don't think it needs to be changed.

The MAF limit stuff will help lean out a drop-throttle situation, either decel or on a shift. The 5.03 BIN file has improved decel and drop throttle tuning (VE table), and may be beneficial to run.

oops, missed that.

you will most likely not need much boost enrichment. It works like MAP enrichment for wider throttle openings.

Thanks for the help, it's finally working. I'm not sure whether the tunerpro upgrade to 4.14 did it or the fact that i explicitly saved the ve table (AFTER changing the map axis table) before performing the upload. Regardless, I have a bit more granular control over VE at lower MAP points, which i think is good.

There were a couple of buggy versions of tunerpro last year. The latest is pretty solid.

The additional MAP axis resolution helps tune the part throttle a bunch.
