ive had the blue emanage and ive seen what the ultimate has to offer

it seems a little tougher to initially setup than the maftpro

pros of emanage over maftpro:
- control of injectors (there is no tricking the ECU into thinking it has a certain amount of airflow coming in
- control timing
- tune by boost vs rpm vs injector time (how long the injector stays open)

pros of maftpro over emanage:
- easier to setup
- use of control pad negates the use of a laptop
- can be used as an ebc for $50 more
- easier to tune due to having less boxes to fill in

Bob,

I plan to get my car tuned on a dyno that can preload the car for any setting etc.(I'm not real sure about how that works) Anyway I'm assuming that it will need the pro to be able to tune on the fly. Should I wait on the dyno session until that is fixed? Will that be upcoming in the release you spoke about above?

Thanks,
Antoni

just an fyi, i remember reading earlier that you cannot "tune on the fly" because of some delay..?

anyways, im sure the people who actually know what they are talking about can fill you in a little better!

I tune on the fly all the time, just don't tune at WOT. Sometimes, 3 seconds after making a change, the car will hiccup slightly. (its not a big deal)

It is not getting fixed in the next software, since it is truly a minor deal...

It will be fixed soon, probably the version after next.

ok, ive got a problem with my car that just started when i put the maftpro in...

when i first crank the car, it will act like it has a vac leak. it will rev, go super lean (35 AFR) then drop rpms to stall if i dont catch it running rish (8 AFR) and it will continue to do this..

i can get the rpms to hold at about 3 grand then the AFR will slowly rise and the rpms will slowly fall until.. stall (or i catch it)

also, if i sit and poke at the throttle, the AFR's will VERY rapidly jump from 8 -> 30 -> 5 -> 25 -> 7 etc etc, and you cant even follow the lights on the XD-1, its just like a light show.. LOL (also the car sounds like crap, like it wants to stall)

thanks for the help!

we need to go back thru the setup and install stuff.

PM me if you would like.

I need to know the following from the sensor monitor page
MP
TPS
DC
FO
VE

Where is the vaccuum source for the MAP sensor connected?
Where is the air temp sensor installed?
What did you set the V Out1 Setpoint and V Out2 Setpoint to? (Setup page)

Is the car setting and CEL's?

Do you have a logger handy?

Bob

All these values were with the car off...

MP - 94.5
TPS - .88
DC - 98.5
FO - 169
VE - 76.5
Vout1 - 2.56
Vout2 - 4.08

MAP sensor connected to the nipple behind the plenum
Air temp sensor connected right before the nipple on the y-pipe
No CEL's

Yes, i have a logger handy

(and the cur runs when the car is in gear and moving, just in nuetral im having problems)
