Default Re: ---===The Official MAFT-Pro Thread===---

so i finally installed my maf-pro and im upset. ok first off. i installed everything per the wiring manual i got off maftpro.com. they are all good connections because i did them myself with soilder and i've re checked them 10times over. even gave them a tug a few times.

my problem.
1.it says my air temp is -40 constant.
2.im pretty sure im in open loop to.
3. i have a CEL on for MAF sensor. ( i think its code 51)
4. after driving for about 30 min all my fuel trims stayed 100%.
5. they onlyway to get my car running normal is to have my main scale at +24

i first uploaded Bobs 13G bin and changed the mainscale. then that ran like crap. so then i started from scratch and it still runs like crap.

is the above list of problems a common problem? have any advice for me on maybe what to look into? my mods are in my sig.

thanks guys

-Chris

Then is there a reason when just adjusting those settings my idle would be affected?

you have plenty of things to work with i dunno why you would run out of ideas. somethings wrong with your wideband input to the maftpro, and something might be wrong with the IAT connection aswell.

Are you using the narrowband output from the wideband? that would make it read 7.8

im only having trouble with idleing and my wideband. and from your prevouse statment im guessing i need to use the gauge output? do you splice it or forget the gauge?

well i spent all day and about a tank and a half getting some bugs out. i finaly got it into closed loop. and my low mids and ihigh seem pretty fair.

Bob, If -10 degrees isn't enough timing pulled for me, should I used the aux spark and aux trig always on settings? Do they combine together? Or is there a reason you stopped at 10 degrees?

you can splice it or program the wideband controller to have 2 wideband outputs (not 100% sure about the ladder) but i spliced mine. and make sure you tape up and hide the loose ends.

thanks for your help. in the manual it says to use the widebands analog output. which i have a LC-1 with a analog output so i figured thats what they ment. i tryed to change the output on the LC-1s analog signal and cant seem to find where to do it.. i feel like a computer iliterate dummy.
