you were only chirping second with 9b's? I find that hard to beleive, well not hard to beleive but odd really. What was the deal, were you just on a conservative tune jeremy?

i do still have a few questions though.. How do you setup the closed loop correction for WOT, or is it already in use and i just need to adjust the AF tracking to what i would like? what values are the low/mid/high correction based on? thanks for the help, and im sure ill have several more questions later on..

drivefast99/jeremy c/rustang - how much difference did you feel? Is this more power then the LS1? And do you all have the air density? Bob, how much is it for the air density AND all the componts for electronic boost controller? This comes with directions correct?

I bet you didn't know!

it all comes with directions and this thread has everything needed as well. yes all 3 of us are running speed density, and my car is faster than ls1's but then again i have 15gs. buty on stockers with a decent tune and 14-15psi u should be able to easily beat an ls1

I was using the standard maf-t with LS1 MAS previously. It had already been discussed that I would get one of the T-Pro's when they were ready for beta testing when I got the standard maf-t. There was only a projected time frame of about 6 months at the time (if I'm remembering things right), so I never really worked on fine-tuning the maf-t. Before the maf-t, I was running horribly rich, which is oddly quite common on tt conversions. On WOT pulls it wasn't uncommon for me to see 1.05V on the NB's. Using just base adjustments, I was able to get my fuel in better shape, but I never went that extra mile to tune in via rpm, so it was still rough. Fast forward to the T-Pro. By this time I was much better at reading data logs, and had a much better understanding of how our fuel systems worked (I did my research since I was going to be playing with new tech and didn't really have a knowledge base to fall back on except for the resident mad scientist, who borders Icon for an Era status to me). I took a rough tune and translated it into a very fine tune (well, as fine as I can go with narrowband. I plan to go WB within the next month or two). The amount of power that is trapped in a tune is amazing to say the least. I don't have hard factual knowledge, but to say I was able to net a solid 20whp or more just from reigning in my poor fuel curves, I feel, wouldn't be too far fetched. This is going from the LS1 to MAP, and I would like to think I had pulled at least the same going from stock to the LS1. Lustful: GOOD tires and a sloppy tune will make traction a breeze. I spent $1k on rubber for this car, since traction is a premium. I was also mostly just running 6psi, as I don't really have a "want" to run high boost all the time.

I think my cars drunk...

my car got a hell of a lot faster
but its probably more due to the fact that i ran 17psi instead of the 14psi i was running previously ![]()

ok so the maft pro is much better then the ls6 maft i was going to buy. Well then that's my next mod I will buy, are any of you guys using the pro as a electronic boost controller? I have never tuned or used any tuning device so will I have a hard time?

its not that hard to get a good base tune down, and what i do is guess and check im tunning via wideband though, which makes it alot easier, im just logging, seeing what my AFR's are, then making small adjustments and starting over.. not too hard, however you will have to know what your doing to get a good tune and adjusting more than just fuel ratios. anyone know of any good write ups? i would like to learn more about this as well! |
