Default Re: ---===The Official MAFT-Pro Thread===---

I have a couple questions regarding the wiring diagram: http://www.fullthrottletech.com/atta...3&d=1125492429.

1.
According to the diagram, the green wire from the maft-pro 10 pin connector is supposed to run to not only the MAF Signal at ECU (pin 70) but ALSO the BARO Signal at ECU (pin 65). This seems like conflicting information, and that it should run to either one or the other.

Can you please confirm for me that the green wire from the 10 pin connector indeed runs to both pin 70 and pin 65 from the ECU at the same time?

All other diagrams I've seen indicate this wire runs to ECU pin 70 (MAF input) but not ECU pin 65 (BARO input).

2.
Can you shed some additional light on the "Fed Spec cars, optional boost logging connection" shown in the lower right corner of the diagram? What benefit does this provide? Can this be used on a 92 california ecu? What does EGRT stand for?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Jeff

The gray wire is Baro, the green is MAF out. (that diagram has an error, the instructions shipped with the units have been corrected)

There is a boost logging thread on here somewhere, basically the non-california spec ECUs have an EGR temperature (EGRT) input that is not used. It can be used to log boost thru the ECU. I am not sure of the compatibility with Cali spec ECUs.

No coolant flow to the FIAV is the winner. It was removed with the vac reduction that IPS did. Never knew anything about the FIAV until now. Getting block off plates in the morning to correct it Thanks

So Im still trying to get my 92 VR4 tuned in SD mode. Played with the low, mid, and high a little, running 720 cc injectors. I have the idle, mid and pretty much the high set were I want it(still not running boost until I get about 100 miles on this new engine)

Idle is a little jumpy, but otherwise idling around 700rpms. 1rst-3rd does great, 4th and 5th especially around 2300rpms around cruising level, runs on the rich side. If im in 4th or 5th and lower rpms say around 1400-2000rpm car studders, shakes, a/f is reading around 14.4-13.2. Not sure if its in the tune or im experiencing spark blowout.
Im running msd-dis 4 with 8.5 mm wires, plugs gapped to .038. Never had a problem with that gap on my setup before. any low gear whether its at low or high rpms runs great, just only around cruise speeds in higher gears are my problem.

Any ideas/suggestions

thanks in advance
and Merry Christmas

Also noticed something else today, used my defroster for the first time since installing the maft-pro in my car, and both the narrowband and wideband 02's read extremely rich (but driveability doesn't seem affected) the wideband seems to display and then turn off in intervals. What could cause this? Doesn't do it with ac on, only defrosters/heat..

thanks again

it has probably been mentioned in here before but what the largest injectors which have been run with the pro? I am doing a single turbo, I already have the pro, I am just trying to determine which injectors to get.

thanks.

much HP do you plan on attaining?

That will determine which injectors you choose.
