you need the ads file to log.

the bin file is just the tune settings. once you are running 4.80, the bin is inside the unit. you can download it from the Pro. The XDF file contains the file parameters, you need to select that in tunerpro.

TB, the weather here is too crappy to play with the car now. But, from what checking I did before, all the readings look like they are supposed too. And I haven't changed anything on the car since the MAFT-Pro was installed. I've even checked/changed all the plugs to see if any of them looked different, like if I had an injector or two that weren't hardly flowing anything. But, they all looked the same. I'd still like to get them all cleaned and flow tested again over the winter.

OK thanks for the info again. I have all the software updated on my laptop, correct files, etc, haven't gone to the car yet to try it out(its several miles away still) As far as updating the software inside the maft-pro unit itself: does one have to manually flash the unit? or does it automatically update once I connect and send to/from the laptop?

thanks again

Ok, yet another update, I just updated my maft-pro unit, that works great, got the newest tuner-pro software, updated the files for the 4.80 version.

Heres the problem, initially got tunerpro to connect to the Maft-pro, and the aldl to connect, you can monitor every parameter, but I cannot log at all,

I get an error that says something like "unable to create log file" What could I be doing wrong??

Also I double checked all the settings, preferences etc. Im not sure, but I think the ads file got "screwed up" somehow, and when I go to click on the links provided here and on fullthrottle, they either don't work or just lock my computer up, any chance someone could send me the right .ads file for the 4.80 software(thats already unzipped?) either that, or tell me how the file should be setup and I will create a new one.?

thanks
James G

don't try to edit the ads file, there is a "feature" in tunerpro that messes up the baudrate if you edit the ADS file.

You need to select a default filename in the logging setup screen. Give it a filename and select yes when it asks to create the file. Then when you record, it saves to a "session" in your logfile.

Thanks for the help TB. I may unintentionally messed with the ads file. The Maft-pro unit as well as the aldl are no longer recognized. My computer will not download the 4.80 ads file needed(why I don't know). Any chance you could please send me an unzipped version of that file to the following email address?(would be very grateful) gmightymoose@aol.com.

also. I had assumed that one would have to first name a file in order to perform a log session(similar to other logging software I've used before) but I'm either not seeing that option or Im just completely having a dumba$$ moment and not knowing how to do it. Nonetheless, thanks for the info and if you can help out with that file, would help me get this thing fine tuned.

thanks again

the maft pro detection is not based on the ADS, but any ALDL logging is.

I will email you the file

selecting the default file: see attached
