I thought you were supposed to put them in one or both of the manifolds right after the head and before the turbo?

1200F in the downpipe seems WAY hot.

Anyone else?

In the GN's we run 1500+ pre turbo. How much are you going to drop going thru the turbo, 300? (guessing)

Are your O2's lean?

Borrow a logger sometime, they are very helpful...

OH SHIT I THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM

ok i was wiring up my switch for my water/meth switch and i tapped into the switched hot for the maft pro as well as the ground and ran another wire to the pump frmo the switch.

i had my batt unplugged but i forgot i had my big ass batt cap still hooked up. when i went to plug up my hot to the switch it drug across the ground and i heard something click that sounded like a relay. now my maft pro is dead so i'm guessing i blew somehting..

now am i gonna need to get me a new ecu or is it just a simple fuse??

oh yea about the egt's is that 1000C or 1000F to meltdown
my guage is in F so if its the the 1000C for meltdown then i'm good

first check all the fuses and fusible links.

Get a voltmeter and start tracing. You do have a manual available......?

I will be out of town this weekend, but I'm sure someone on here has a manual they can walk thru with you. (but get a manual CD, it's required equipment with old cars)

Bob
(The pro is probably fine, it has pretty good protection built in. )

1000 degrees C is max on most turbos, which I think is 1832 F, Audi's like it hot, most like it to stay around 900C-950C max. (1652F-1742F)

I have a question on how the Lo, Mid and High maps work. I know where the break points are at but my question is how does it determine which map to use? To make a little more sense, the low map point is set to 35ish, the mid point is at 100.1 and the high is like 136. If I am at 31 am I in the Low map? If I am at 70 am I in the mid map or a combination of the mid and low. If I am at 115 am I in the mid map or a combination between mid and high, and if I am at 150 am I only in the high map?

at 70 you are in a combination of the low and mid ranges.
at 115 you are in a combination of the mid and hi ranges.

Below 35, you are in the low range
Above 136 you are in the high range
