So, if I buy the maft pro, i need to take out my safc, and sell it correct? I don't need that, also can I use a laptop witht he pro and log instead of using a palm? How hard is it to tune? are there step by step walk throughs anyone on the net?

basic tuning is just like your afc right now (just with a lot more setup points).

I'm almost done with the install, i just have to tap my Y pipe for the IAT and put the Y pipe back on the car and its tuning from here on out

When I tapped my Y pipe, I put a hoseclamp on either side of the sensor in case the plastic wanted to expand a little under pressure......

thats a good idea, i think im just gonna use a tip zie when i do that though


FYI, ill have pictures and details of the install, including how to combine the MAFTpro and scanmaster 3 so they both have a wideband signal

you are pretty new to tuning, you should first get the other car with the 13G's, 450's, and SAFC; get a datalogger; and practice a little with the tuning.

You asked how much HP from removing the MAF. This has not been quantified yet. Besides, it would vary from vehicle to vehicle, the faster the car, the more hp is lost with the stock MAF.

To switch from the previously discussed setup for you, to speed density (removing the MAF) you would remove the boost logging harness, and install the speed density harness.
