So, my TPS and MAP settings for AFR Tracking should be WOT settings? And the PT Tracking should be adjusting fueling at Idle, Cruise and in Lean situations?

While I'm trying to update the translator using the .bat files, It says to hold the two left buttons. It never detects the translator. What do I do? None of the other .bat files work.

you need to have the computer at the "waiting for translator" point, and then power up the translator with the buttons held. (Later versions of the translator don't need the buttons held)

What laptop, port, cable do you have?

Bob

I'm pretty sure I have the computer at the right point. The computer screen actually says, "hold down the left two buttons and power up the translator." I'm using an HP T2400 laptop and the cable is this one. .

probably a port setting or driver issue.

Do this:

and look to see what the port is set to.......

set it in the COM 5 USB slot, and use the COM5 load program.

We have had trouble with the Belkin brand, and perhaps that one is the same inside....

The Pro logs at 19200 baud, but updates at 9600, so if the adapter cannot do 9600 baud properly, or cannot replicate a break signal (some can't) then you may not be able to use that to update your Pro.

Can you try another computer? If not, I can update it for you.

(do you have the latest driver installed?)

I tried another comp a little while ago with no success. I used my old comp that I used to update it last time. This adapter is new ( lost the old one ) , so I think it's the adapter. I've tried it in everyport. What do I need to look for in an adapter when I go to buy one?
