during part throttle, the AFR is all over the place from 11-19, timing (according to TMOlog) is steady unchanging. timing monitor on the maftpro stopped reading after the update.

Also, should I be getting a frequency input value?

*EDIT* possibly the reason timing monitor stopped working after the update.. the file you uploaded has an updated *.ads file, but not an *.xdf file, so I did not load the new ads file.
Please use the new ADS file. The Timing stuff is the same.

You should be getting a frequency input value.

Please reset the unit and re-enter your tune with the keypad.

This is the version I run, and it runs well. Grab a log and I will look it over.

When I load the new ADS file, it gives me the *mismatched ads/xdf.. blahblah* is that okay?

Probably about time to start using a new adl file.. lol

Session 39

*EDIT* Do you want me to update the ads file and re-log? I already reset the unit and reentered the data via keypad.

mismatched ads and xdf doesn't cause any issues.

please take a log with the new software. I sent you 4.7A right?

There were some changes right at 4.78 to 4.7A

The new ADS file only works on the most latest-est one.....

That log I uploaded was with version 4.7A, just using TPRO4600.ads.

want me to relog using the *4800.ads file?

I have just installed my MAFT Pro and am still using 4.40 and the values in the quick start guide to run the car. The only change I have made is to set main scale to +30 and afterstart to 10. It started first time, but I get some odd behaviour. First, at idle, the revs stay steady with AFR at 13.5, but until it warms up, it will suddenly go very lean and then very rich and level out again. Also, when driving, as I accelerate, it will go lean (16-17:1) and then richen appropriately. I guess this is tip in, but do I set the TPS enrich, and should I increase or decrease it?
I have it installed in speed density mode on an NA DOHC GTO. I have disconnected the narrowband O2 and hooked up the pro to an AEM UEGO wideband.

Thanks

Marc

Ordered my Maft Pro tonight! Woo Hoo!

But ran out of cash to get the LC1 wideband... Another week or two and i'll have it. But my question is can I get an ok tune and drivablility in the meantime without the wideband? I'm doing speed density. Oh, and what is the latest/best maft pro software ver to get? I was a bit confused on where the latest version was and what the differences where.

ok i need help. i h ave been having this issue and cant figure it out but it started ever since i did the install over the summer. The issue is the check engine light keeps coming on, but when i use my logger to see what is the issue it says no DTC's presnt, but my check engine light is on. I dont have PT tracking turned on and my o2 sensors are installed.

If i rest the ecu everything is fine for a few days then it happens again. Any idea of what could be causing this? i really think its the pro cuz it doesnt say i even have a code and has started ever since the install of the pro.

Just wanted to thank Bob for his help, I removed the MAFT-Pro and proved that my problem is not MAFT-Pro related. I screwed something else up

At 3000RPM my car goes insainly lean, I just put in a new fuel filter, and I tried it with fuel pump hotwired and not hotwired and the same problem happens. Either my fuel pump is dying, my fuel pressure regulator is messed up or my ECU is shot. I have a underhood fuel pressure gauge, Ill remove it and mount it to my hood with some hard line to check fuel pressure.

I'll try to keep this simple......

I had my car running with a laptop and maft-pro running version 4.40.

The laptop's hardrive and powersupply went out within days of each other.

I have a new laptop and want to use this to run the translator. So here's my question/problem. I can only install program version 4.12 from www.bailey-eng.com . Version 4.13 and 4.14 will not run on my computer for some reason. I get an error message when trying to open them. So, will the program 4.12 work the translator version 4.40?
