Generally I idle mine at 14, My GN likes 13.5

I set cruise for 15, and lean cruise for 16.

I usually set the idle RPM above the cold fast idle. 1500 or so.

Otherwise it should work fine. Your tune needs to be reasonably close, I usually tune on the rich side, and let the tracking lean it out.

What yellow wire? Do you mean pin 9 on the 10 pin harness?
I currently have this hooked to the MAF signal from stock MAF so that I can use the MAFTpro as just a SAFC until I get used to it.

I am just finishing up my boomsling jumper harness for speed density, wideband tracking, boost control and timing control and I want to make sure I have it all right before I install it back on the car.

This is how I am currently wired fpr ,y 92 Steath TT

10 Pin connector
pin 1 (orange wire) Wideband input
pin 2 (purple wire) Widband signal ground
pin 3 (Blue) Tapped into TPS (ECU circuit 64 )
pin 4 (Green) MAF Signal output (ECU side of circuit 70) (Cut stock wire)
pin 5 (Pink) Tapped into ECU power( ECU circuit 25)
pin 6 (Brown) AIT (ECU side of circuite 52) (Cut stock wire)
pin 7 (Grey) Baro out, (ECU side of Circuit 65) (Cut stock wire)
pin 8 (White) CAS sensor (Sensor side of Circuit 69) (Cut stock wire)
pin 9 (Yellow) MAF Signal input, connected to MAF side (Cut stock wire)
pin 10(Black) Tapped ECU Ground (ECU circuit 26)

6 Pin connector
pin 1 (Red) 3 BAR MAP sensor Power
pin 2 (Green) 3 BAR MAP sensor signal
pin 3 (Brown) AIT sensor (Circuit 52 sensor side)
pin 4 (Black) 3 BAR MAP sensor Ground
pin 5 (Black) -not used -
pin 6 (Purple) Datalogging trigger?

8 Pin connector

My comment was for 4x4, he is setting up the timing monitor, and it works better with the yellow wire hooked to the tach signal.

The timing monitor uses the MAF input to measure the spark advance, so you can only use it in Speed Density mode...

Thanks!

I just finished wiring up my generic boomslang harness and that was about 10X easier than crawing under the dash. When I double checked it I discovered that I had my CAS wires hood up backwards to the MAFT Pro.

After labeling every wire modified on ECU and MAFT Pro to make sure I wired it correctly. I fi ever install another fuel controller I would be more than willing to buy a premade harness directly from boomslang next time.

Bob,

You know I have been having issues with timing monitor and they continue. I hooked up my yellow wire to my tach signal and now I am getting a FI in the 50s. No matter what I set my TM base to I can't get it close my my logger timing. My logger timing is around 21-23 at idle, and my timing base on my MAFT pro is around 12-14 and no matter what I do, I can't get it any higher than that. Any ideas?

Brandon

Is there only a certain percentage that the PT tracking will correct? I put in all those settings and the car idled way richer than I set it to.

Did you let the car run for a bit? PT won't turn on until the car has been on for awhile.
