its so easy to do, theres no reason not to take it out IMO, it also gives you a chance to check for leaky caps

bob, i have a feeling my rear o2 sensor is done, so my cars trims are all pinned at 81 and my 02trim never goes near to 100, let alone over it
When both of my cars were bone stock, they had trims stuck at 81...... If the car drives ok, I say leave it. Keep the O2 trim between 50 and 100 and you're set to go......

one more question, which wires on my LC-1 do I hook up to the maftpro. this wideband has a lot of choices for wires, I'm not sure which to use.
probably one of the analog 0-5v outputs?

Bob

have a question, is the wideband and narrowband O2 bung the same?

if so, would it be a bad idea to take out the rear/front o2 sensor and replace it with the wideband o2 sensor?

i already have the o2 sensors rigged up because of the NA harness, so i could easily send the signal from one o2 sensor to both prongs on the ecu.

They are not the same things but they have the same bolt pattern. They read in different voltage patterns/values. Widebands like the PLX M300 have an option to use a signal from the wideband to replace your narrowband if you like. I removed my rear o2 on my rear turbo and inserted the wideband there. I already have a check engine light from other things so it doesn't bother me.

do you mean thread size?

yea, thats what im taling about doing, taking out the rear o2 sensor and replacing it with the wideband o2 sensor.

but i will then take the signal wire from the from o2 sensor and splice it so the same signal goes to both ports on the ecu (thinks there are 2 o2 sensors)

but i guess i was just going to mainly check to make sure 1) thread pitch is the same 2) wideband hooked up to only one side of the engine will read normally (i say rear bank because that reads a little more lean, correct?)

The thread pitch is the same. I installed mine in the rear since it reads the leanest also.

just have to be carefull about heat. I'm not sure what kind of temperatures come imediately after the turbo but my lm1 manual has this warning:

"The maximum temperature of the sensor at the bung (the sensor hexagon)
should not exceed 500 oC or 900 oF. If these temperatures are exceeded in your
application you should either install a copper heat sink (instructions below) or the
Innovate Motorsports Heat-Sink Bung extender (HBX-1).
The bung extender is recommended for situations where airflow is restricted or
the encountered heat is higher than a heat sink can handle."
