I have a question about the WOT timing control. Is it really only work at WOT, or is there a setting I need to change to make sure it is?

When I hooked everything up, WOT spark was defaulted to -10 across the board. I did not realize this at first, but my car ran like crap at idle, then I changed it to 0's and everything ran fine again.

So if it is really "WOT spark" why did it affect my idle?

Actually, on a 3S its on all the time.

There was some debate / discussion about making it WOT only, but no concensus..... So the page title is somewhat misleading, sorry.

could you make that a setting? "above this load - turn on timing correction"?

Since the lowest WOT Spark setting is at 2000 rpm, does it make that change for all rpms below 2000 (like at idle?)

Well, it affected my idle, which at the time was ~1000 rpm

I'll have to look at this more. I was really starting to get pissed off I couldn't get my MAFTPro close enough to my logger in terms of timing monitor. I didn't think I pulled a lot of timing in that range but it might be enough to make the two of them not get close enough to match.

why would you need to pull timing at 2000 rpm?

Thats what I want to do. With 10:1 compression I am getting boost at 2000RPM and high load, sometimes I get knock and have to let off, I can get back on the gas again and boost up to 10 psi as long as I am at higher RPM
