On the good note, I got 25 MPG on the way home from MOD 06. I think with new plugs and wires it should go up because mine need replacing.

I have a new version that saves sooner for cars not running Vehicle=0....

However I am playing with some transient algorithms, so I will need another day or 2 to post it........

Great MPG, dude!

Anyone on here that has gone from an MBC to the boost control option with the T-Pro.. did you like it?

Reactions?

Thinking of ditching the 2-step and just letting the Pro do it all..

So, this may have been asked before, but there's 153 pages in this thread...

I want to get a MAFT-Pro (yay!), but I'm just wondering about sensors... Specifically, do electronic boost gauges come with their own pressure transducer, and if so, can we use that to also provide MAP input for the MAFT-Pro? The GM sensor is $60, but if a gauge comes with an equally good (or identical) sensor, i'd rather just buy the gauge.

Does anyone know if electronic gauges come with a sensor, or do they put the sensor in the gauge housing and make you run hose to it?

Also, how good is boost control on the device? Does it work well? And can you toggle the boost level with a switch?

Anyway, I found the manual, so I'm gonna read that, but if anyone has any answers, I'm all ears...

I went from a DMBC to the t-pro ebc.

Let's just say I'm not going back to mbc agin. Faster spool, easier to change settings, and built in boost logging - what else could you want?

I think the Greddy and Autometer are external sensor. The Pro can use almost any sensor. If its not supported already, its fairly easy to add to the software...... If its 'close' to one of the supported types, then you can tune around it....

Can the boost control be used with wastegates as opposed to actuators? I know you have to change that setting on my Blitz DSBC, I'd like to try it out but I'm getting DR-800s soon and want to make sure it is compatible.

You mean with external wastegates instead of internal wastegates? (they are both wastegates...)

I'm sure it's possible, there was someone else on here talking about it.

Yeah thats what I meant, external vs. internal wastegates. The Blitz DSBC has a switch for Actuator or Wastegate, I guess since the hoses actually hook up to the wastegate versus to the wastegate actuator.

Quick question, can I wire up the system for speed density but only use it to modify the stock signal with stock MAF for now? It looks like If I leave the MAF in place and hook up a AIT and 3bar MAP sensor I can swithc back and fort using just the settings on the MAFT pro.

I was going to get an emange Ultimate but the one reason I bought Darlkhelmet's MAFT Pro is that I know that TurboBob will support it. I also love my scanmaster.

One of the things I hated about the MAP ECU is that its is almost impossible to get any support from the manufacturer.

Yes, if you use the "Plug-and-play Speed density" harness (wires the MAP and IAT to the Pro without using any factory wiring) Switching back and forth between the MAF and speed density is a 5 second affair.....

this is how my car is wired, since I have to run all modes to do the software work...
