Eh.. That's kinda no good because you can't tune on the fly.. I guess.. get the settings down in veh select 0 and then go for the timing.. would be nice to have a vehicle select mode that could accomplish both though..

woah woah, hang on here. I was under the impression that the maft-pro makes changes but it takes about 3 seconds. The car will hiccup. I am able to make changes on the pro unit without fully turning it off. Is this bad?

Ok, everybody listening.........?

Changes take effect immediately, as they are stored in RAM and used by the Pro.

The issue is whether or not they will be there on the next key-on.

If vehicle select = 0, the RAM data is stored to FLASH 3 sec after the change is entered (the tune change is effective immediately). This occaisionally causes the hiccup.

If vehicle select is 1 or 2, the RAM data is stored to FLASH 3 sec after RPM=0. (so no hiccup)

At Key-on, the FLASH data is copied to RAM for use.

clearer?

B
this will all be fixed in a future version......

Let me explain it differently.

When you key-on, all your saved tune data is copied to RAM memory, the Pro uses the data in RAM.

When you make tuning changes you are changing this RAM data. So the changes take effect immediately.

When you make a change, a "flag" is set in the Pro that indicates that there are changes to be saved to "Flash" memory.

If vehicle select = 0, these changes are saved after a 3 sec delay. Sometimes there is a hiccup when this happens.

If vehicle select = 1 or 2, the saving of the changes is delayed until 3 sec after the engine stops.

Sorry, stupid question.

Ive been installing my maftpro in speed density setup. I also have the EBC for it. I have the unit mounted. Yet, how do I hook it up? As in what do I plug into it? It has 2 nipples, I assume and inlet and an outlet. What hoses do I hook up? I have removed the stock boost solenoid and done a vac reduction.

Please advise.
Thankyou.

y-pipe --->inlet of ebc>outlet of ebc--->T-connector--->wastegates.

Do you have the standard solenoid or high boost solenoid?

lol

I had the same problem and it drove me NUTS!

What you need to do is UNPACK the files to the desktop.. all of them. THEN run the updater, it will do it.

I was sitting with my car in the yard at midnight idling because my battery was going dead from messing with it so much the day I installed my T-Pro.. I was freaking out until I figured out the little unpack trick..
