I went out to the car and reinitialized it (4.65)

Set all the config and setting stuff including VE#2

it fired right up

I added mainscale until it was cruising in the low 14's (after warmup) and then setup the part throttle AF Tracking.

Ran great, went and got BurgerKing for the kiddies. Not a sputter or a whimper, even with the AC kicking on and off.

So the base tune with VE#2 is pretty close.

Remember that you have to hold the buttons for 15 seconds or so until the display changes to re-initialize.

I dunno, guess the 4.60 file was corrupted.

Played around with tuner-pro while I had the desktop in the car, pretty neat. And the new interface in 4.63 is really alot easier with text. I can't wait to try out lean cruise and stuff once I get everything settled.

For best results on the pt wb tracking I would disconnect your o2's if you haven't already done so.. Don't be scared at all.. car runs much more stable and reliable when the two boxes aren't fighting for control!

Let me clarify:

You cannot run Part Throttle Tracking if the ECU is closed loop. On a 3S you must disconnect the O2 sensors.

It runs great.....

I'm thinking of a way to prevent the CEL, I will let you guys know.
(my car takes a couple days to set a CEL)

Is there a way to allow the ECU control of WOT timing without having to pull out my harness again? Like some way of disabling it so the ECU see's unmolested CAS signal.

I've been running around tuning, and I'm getting a little bit of knock where I wasn't before and no knock where I would expect it...So far been running great, but want to see how it goes with the ECU controling the timing.

I have one question on the PT Tracking. I tried your settings Bob for PT tracking but you didn't mention what you had the gain set to. What does that actually reference to?

Mine is weird. I've had the code set 3 times in the same day, and then gone a week or longer before it pops again. I think my car is slightly confused as to what is going on with the fuel.

the easiest way is to make a jumper between the new gray wire and the white wire in the Pro harness, and then unplug the 8 pin connector. Or cut the new gray wire and tap it into the white wire.
