I'm guessing the MFI relay is tripping, the MAFT-Pro restarts, RPM's read 0 even though I'm in gear and coasting, and I hear a click.

Not related to button presses or anything, so its not that page clearing bug. I'm still on v4.0 or v4.4 (what came on it.) Need to get it updated...
humm, my car did that on me when my battery came loose and arced on my intercooler piping, but never due to the maftpro.

Whatever floats your boat I guess
The answer lies in the intended use of the car and the HP level.

The casual tuner can easily get by with the logger and the display on the Pro. Especially if they run the logger all the time.

For tuning on the edge, you want to know if things are going lean as soon as you can. The gauge displays are great for this.

In my GN, I use the XD-1 gauge with the LC1. In my Stealth I have a Scanmaster showing the wideband reading from an LM-1 full time.

I updated to 4.60 and my car won't start no matter the settings....

I'll try 4.63 before trying to find 4.4 to go back to....

Will update after I carry my desktop out to my car and back...

Double check your connections down by the ECU.. I'm assuming you soldered them

Sounds like from your last posts that you have a connection that was going bad and now has given out all together..

Make sure you load the correct VE table as well.. it's table 2.. table 1 is for a GN..

If you get in a pinch I believe somewhere around page 99 of this thread Bob posted his settings for a stock Stealth, it's a good starting point after flashing out the memory.

Everything soldered to a boomslang extension harness.. tested with multimeter and heatshrinked.

It was running this morning on v4.4, updated and no start.

I'll check the harness to make sure its all good anyways. I tried Bob's stock stealth setting, still no start, how do I select the VE table?

The selectable VE tables are not in 4.60, I think 4.63 was the first for that.

When you update versions, you will probably need to re-initialize the unit and then re-configure.

So, hold down the right 2 buttons when powering up until the display says "all data reset!!" It takes about 15 seconds.

Then go thru the config and settings. It should start.

You can download my bin and "Upload" it into the Pro. Its posted here somewhere.

Did the reset, no change, your bin also didn't start, which is funny since I'm using stock fuel right now.....hmmm..

I'll try 4.63.

be sure to reconfigure. i.e. set all the settings to match the vehicle (which the .BIN should have done.......)

I'm going to try to do the v4.00 -> 4.65 update this weekend, do I need to upload bob's bin, or will an update, then reset and reconfigure get me with the correct VE table and settings?

edit: where are all the bins, and the defn file tuner pro uses to interpret them?

updated to 4.63....and it started.

I dunno, guess the 4.60 file was corrupted.

Played around with tuner-pro while I had the desktop in the car, pretty neat. And the new interface in 4.63 is really alot easier with text. I can't wait to try out lean cruise and stuff once I get everything settled.
