With Dejon twin intakes?

Hmm.. if it works by the air filter then what would be the difference of just zip tying it to something in the engine bay just for the purpose of having it connected? Intake air temp = engine bay temp = anywhere in that vicinity

Damn I may just do that for the sake of easy install and for the ability to be able to still sell the y-pipe in the near future to help finance the ips fmic purchase later and then weld a bung on when the time is right..

The reality is this. We want to know the temperature of the air entering the cylinders. Measuring the air temp in the Y pipe is pretty close.

Measuring the air at the filters works decently. The hot air entering the airfilter preheats the stock intercoolers, which then work to maintain that tempreature in typical driving. Racing is different, and dynoing really overheats the intercoolers. But for just driving around with the occaisional blast, measuring the air at the filter works pretty well. Some of the MAP ECU guys do it this way.

If the intercoolers do heat-saturate, and the air entering the engine is hotter than what we measure, the engine will run a little richer, which is not necessarily a bad thing........

For timing control as per http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?t=2129

It appears that you want the CAS wire cut instead of being tapped into by the white wire with the white going to the harness, and the grey going to the ecu.

What about the MAP signal that the grey wire is presently being used for? What would take the grey wires place?

Wrong harness. You go into the boost harness for the timing control.

Ahhhhhhhh it all becomes clear now.. I need the boost harness though.. I didn't get one with my Pro the other day.

OK.. Install done. Setup done. Funky stuff:

Right now I have the stock 360cc injectors in.. So mainscale = 0%. Car will not idle right.. idle goes waaaaaay up and then waaaaay down.. If I bump the mainscale WAY up.. to like.. 35% or so... I can get my idle perfect at a steady 14.7. BUT.. as soon as I start driving it's way rich of course and I can't even boost because it bogs.. I have to dip the mainscale down to like 15% and then I get perfect cruising AFR's.. but a tad bit rich WOT. Come to a stop sign and there it goes again.. idle waaaaay down and then waaaaaay up.

With stock injectors, should I have to even bump up the mainscale so high? I have the settings exactly like what is shown in the quickstart for 3S..

BTW the unit fits decently in the center console.. If only it was like 1/4" narrower it could fit cross ways.. as it is you have to take out the cup/coin holder thing..

I'm working with Smokin-vr4 to possibly make a custom trim piece to hold the Maft Pro and the Scanmaster where the stock stereo goes, and then we would have to move the stock stereo up to where the AC vents are.

Do you still have your O2's hooked up? I ended up with 5% mainscale, then I added 16% at 800, 14% at 1200, 10% at 1600, 8% at 2000, and 4% at 2400 in the low trims and my idle is pretty happy right now. I've got about 4% added to my mids from 1200-2400. I'm also pulling fuel ranging from 4% - 14% from 4600-7600. I can't remember my response settings so your on your own there.

**EDIT** I guess you were just asking him about the trim where the radio was and I'm not going to make anything that goes there for a while
