Just the Crank signal. The ecu bases its timing on the crank signal so that's all we are messing with. We don't have to touch the cam signal as long as we don't try to advance more than about 5 degrees.

If it turns out that we want to advance more, we can add the cam signal to the wiring. But I believe its unnecessary......

What about with the NA's...I think they're gonna benefit in advancing the timing and 5 degrees isn't all that much. Also, is this gonna be dependent on if the car has a cam angle sensor or not?

The later cars have discrete cam and crank sensors. the signals are the same and the system will work.

Isn't yours a DOHC? They are pretty much the same.

The SOHC motors may be even easier, depending on how their sensors are set up. I need to look into it.

5 degrees over stock is a good start though. There is room to grow.

Yep, it's a DOHC. Figured since you didn't mention any difference between the gens it would work with both of them fine.

Any idea with advancement over 5* is gonna be available?

I'll try to get the speed density and current timing setup running and see what I need from there.
