I have a question. Do I need to have a map sensor installed in order to run boost control? Basically I'd need to read my guage in order to set the boost correct? Basically acting like a mbc.

Well, if you don't have a MAP sensor, the unit can't regulate boost. At that point its just a fancy MBC.

With a MAP sensor, you tell the unit what boost you want and the unit does the rest.

ok well, I got the unit all connected and hooked up. Turned the car on. Idles like crap, and I'm reading 1.12on the wideband. I went through I double checked all connections and what not from the 3s quick start guide. Displaying UT there its 0.

I'm running with the stock mas hookup(or at least trying to) and I'm wondering will that change what is on the quick start guide? Should I be doing something different?

what wideband?

Give me the whole rundown on how the car is configured. With the stock MAF in there, you are not using the Speed Density harness, right? Do you have a MAP sensor on the car at all?

stock injectors, I don't have the speed density harness(ie i didn't buy the iat/map). I do have that motorola map but its not hooked up to the pro, only my lm1 for logging puposes. I used the wiring diagram included in the kit and followed the quick start directions except that I have afrl source set to 10.

ok for all of you that have an aem wideband and didnt throw away the install manual to it (like me), what two wires do i need to hoop up to the maft pro and which one is positive and which is ground????

also a question regarding water/meth injection. i already had it installed before i got the maftpro and it said to put the injector as far away from the throttle body as i could so i put it right after my fmic in the piping.

now for the IAT sensor, should i put it closer to the fmic before the injector or should it put it right before the throttle body in the bend of the intake pipe??

wouldnt my temp be off near the intercooler?
i know my a/f would be weird when it starts spraying.

so which would be the best?

ok i searched on here and found that the two output wires are the blue and white on the aem

it said the white was analog output for connection to the aem ems only, but somebody said he hooked it up to his emanage and logged o2's
the blue wire is serial output

so which is it?

and where should i put my ITC

First I would say that you must of read the directions for the water/meth injection wrong or they wrote them wrong. You should have that injector about 3 inches from your throttle body. I would say to put the IAT sensor a little before the water/meth injection so that it does not spray on it or effect its readings.

I hope that helps,
Dean

which AEM wideband, the in-gauge unit or the separate box system? I can probably dig ou the instructions.

It is best to put the IAT so it is "upstream" of the Alky nozzle, but you can tune around having it backwards.

Might as well try it the way it is, rather than drilling a bunch of new holes yet.
