Without the O2 sensors plugged in, the factory ECU shouldn't be going into closed-loop. So the ECU ignoring the MAF input at idle is what I think is happening..

Glad the cars running good otherwise. What T-Pro version are you running?

Are you using the TPCU program to update the T-Pro? If not I suggest it. If your still having troubles, try resetting the Pro by holding the right-two buttons while powering on the unit. It should reset, and then attempt to update to 5.03.

I'm running 5.03 (see sig) with Bob's latest bin. That's what I don't understand, why is the ECU ignoring the pro's input at idle when both my O2 sensors are unplugged? When the ECU doesn't ignore the pro's input, the thing idles great (14.7 - 14.9) and sticks there.

with 720's you may not be able to go any leaner ( I heve never tuned the Big ones) Can you try raising your idle speed a little and see if that helps.

What is the MAF frequency at idle? (FO on the LCD)

Ok guys, I've updated the VE MAP Utility program. Now you can use your custom User-Defined Axis VE Map!

This utility allows you to input your current user tune (hi,mid,low and tune points) along with the VE map that you are currently using to produce a 'corrected' VE Map. This allows you to zero out your user tune, will help gain familiarity with the VE Map and how your user tune effects it..
The utility has three pages: VE Data is the working sheet where you input your current User Tunes & VE MAP, and receive a modified VE MAP. VE MAP is the 3-D visual of the 'corrected VE Map'. Read Me is a quick 'how-to'.

Also, the VE Table will highlight any changes inputted by the User Tunes. And finally, the VE Table will warn (via going to red) if your VE gets too high. This is important because the T-Pro will accept a max of 127 for VE. If you need to go higher then 127, I suggest leaning out the whole map via a % then adding that same % to the mainscale.

This should work fine, however as with any normal tuning keep a watchful eye on your AFRs.

BTW - Make sure you have Macros enabled. This is necessary for the utility to work correctly.

Is there any way to lean the car out on cold startups? I'm having off and on cold idle issues (idles will surge on startup and the car will eventually die) and the AFR is rather rich (around 12 or 13...a few times it's gone so low it doesn't even register). Afterstart is at 0 and TPS enrich is at .3. Should I go lower than that or will that now affect idle?

Warm start seems to be fine and even though idles surge after it's started it's not as bad once the car is running/moving for about 30 second. Seems like the colder the weather the worse it is.

Maximal, what is your low trim? Sounds like until the ECU goes to closed-loop your running a little rich in the low-end, you might need to lean out the low some.

I've got an overclocked ECU so I can't log at the moment. I tried pulling a bunch out in the low load menu (I'm assuming that covers idle, right?) and it didn't seem to help.

It just boggles me because it doesn't do it all the time.

Yeah, your low user tune should cover idle and light load stuff.. Have you tried resetting the ECU? Are your O2 sensors hooked up?
