Ok . so i have the genII hooked up and running. It runs amazing except for a hiccup at 1000rpm and there is a CEL. My problem is everytime i turn off the car and turn it back on the mainscale all of the sudden ends up a -64 when i have it at zero. It wont save any of my settings. It just goes back to -64 all the time. How do you get it to save new changes? And how do you zero it out?(just in case)

It sounds like the unit needs to be reset. The unit can get out of sync if you shut it off or unplug it less than 5 seconds after changing a setting.

Do this: Hold the upper right button while turning the unit on. You need to keep it held for 15 seconds or so until the unit says "all data reset".

Then reconfigure it, you should be fine from there on.

What # is the CEL?

Is there a special setting once I install everything in a blow-through setup? I imagine something must be different as the airflow will be different through the MAF when its past the turbos.

thanks.

blow thru makes the MAF behave differently, but it varies from car to car.

The Gen-2 is very flexible, just tune it so the car is happy.

what datalogging equipment do you have?

thanks.

I have the Palm HandHeld Halo OBDI logger. I had posted a 2nd gear pull a couple pages back, knock was around 13-14 close to redline. I finally got a DB9 cable to connect my wideband converter box to the GenII, sadly I'm still waiting for my downpipe to go back on with the wideband (they found a couple exhaust leaks on my stocker! grrr) lol

Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks I want to buy my MAF-less intake pipes and filters, and get my MAF Y-pipe so I can run the blow-through.

There are no special settings? just set it all up and start tuning it until it runs properly?

thanks for all the help

no special settings. basically, just tune with the mainscale setting until it runs ok generally. then fine tune from there.

Question: I have the Gen-I and would like to upgrade to Gen-II. Will I just need the Gen-II box and reuse the hookups from Gen-I or is it a different setup all together?
