Sounds like you need an LC-1 wideband, and logger (Cable, Palm, MMCD software is going to be the cheapest usually).....get that up and running then you can tune it....cant do it without tools....
Good call, I have a techedge WB, but its been on the fritz lately.. Cleaned the sensor off this weekend, doesnt seem to have helped.. Definitely gonna grab a scanmaster or somethin though.. I'm just still trying to at least 'learn" what all this stuff is.. like I was saying before, Im not sure if I should be adjusting each rpm range.. ie low tune, 400rpm, 800rpm.. for instance, setting each to like -2.0%... would that equal -4.0% for that particular tune..

Right now Im running -20.0 on the mainscale, and that was it, and I made small adjustments to the low tune around 1200-2000rpm to try and smooth out my cruise slightly.. as when Im slightly on the gas, it revs up and down rather than just smooth cruising.. like -2.0% at 1200 and i think -2.0% at 2200rpm also.. or something like that, thats about all I have adjusted since resetting the translator..

OK. did you completely strip out the mas? as in the center peices too. The honeycombs in the center have to stay in there to keep the laminar flow. The only honeycombs you can take out are the side ones. Everything went haywire when i took the middle ones out. Try putting the middle ones back in. Your probably gettin really turbulent flow to your mas. It gives all kinds of crazy readings.

Yeah, I was having some trouble gettin the GM MAF to work properly, but was able to do so this week. So no more gutted MAS, I was not happy with the results.. Right now I think my wideband is acting up.. It only readys 10.5 or 25.2 (rich/lean extremes) never anything in the middle.. has been this way constantly for about a week and a half.. tried cleaning the sensor, it was a bit black this past weekend.. but I've been running -18 to -20 on the mainscale, nothing else, seems just slightly rich by the way it runs.. I have 450s in.. workin on gettin my hands on a logger..

-20 is really just a starting point.......when I had 450's, and SAFC, I ended up at -25 I believe......so it's possible you are rich.......Id ask if your O2's are cycling, but I get the feeling you couldn't tell me...

running it at -25 seemed to be running what felt like rich, (delayed boost build.. sudden take off after a second or 2 of bogging down), same thing at
-30, Tried about -15.0 and it seemed to have pretty good response, but my WB is still just high or low all the time..

finally got a logger on the way.. so hopefully I can get that connected up and get some results up here.. everybody's help has been greatly appreciated even though I've been so vauge with the details (i've given as much as I possibly can without the logger though) So hopefully I can post some data and maybe you guys can steer me in the right direction.. my biggest problem is just not knowing what the settings even mean...

16psi boost
-15.0 Mainscale in the GenII

I just put my stock downpipe back on, so I dont have my WB right now.. was running around 12-13 at WOT before yesterday however, and I have not adjusted boost or mainscale since. I appreciate everybody's help thus far, and hopefully this information will be sufficient to proceed with tuning, its running quite well, still very slight lag on the boost build.

Couple of things --
Still not sure why you think you need to run -15 mainscale.....I would start at -20.....I have used a couple of AF converters, and both were -20 to -25 on 450's....unless Im missing something you have to be rich....
Your log really doesnt show much -- I guess its a snap shot of cruising? Looks fine, but doesnt tell you anything. You need a 2nd and 3rd gear pull, 2000rpm to redline (WOT).....all the way thru the RPM range.....that will show everyone what they need to make suggestions.......
Edit: Including WB if at all possible!

Alright.. well this was after idle i guess after running 1st-4th... just got this thing, so im toying with the logging features. It just feels much better at -15 than at -20.. I understand the figures, but I've toyed with every increment, and this works the best.

Once I do my inspection, ill have the WB back.. about or week probably. But like I said, between 12 and 13 on the WB and havent changed anything.
