Default Help Tuning with 560cc Evo Inj / E manage / 15G's

Hey guys need some help. To be honest this is my first time at attempting to tune. I have always had Adam or anyone else help me. today I put in a set of 560cc Evo Injectors (they have been cleaned and flowed). Ive set my base correction in E manage for 360 > 560cc. Can anyone give me a good starting map? From idle to whatever? For now I have my entire map set to -37 however this is very basic. The car seems to idle a tiny bit rough and the 02's arent cycling. I plan on running 15psi until everything is ironed out. As far as fuel is concerned - I have a hotwired Walbro. Stock FPR. Fuel rail loop on as well. Would appreciate any input I can get ahold of or whatever info everyone needs.

Its been a while since I've last touched my e-manage, but since you've set the base correction, the -37 is unnecessary. Someone else please confirm this though.

As far as the idle goes, richen it up some. I've always used the 4 squares in the top left corner as idle. Anyways, just richen it up until your O2s begin to cycle.

If your using a timing map, start off pulling some timing in the boost areas.

Then just go out with a datalogger and a wideband, try to hit your ideal a/f ratio and pull timing where there is knock and advance timing where there isn't knock.

If you are adjusting with the injector scaling you do not need the -37 (thats what the injector scaling does.) NOTE: You will reach 100% injector duty cycle though at some point over 15psi (or sooner depending on your setup.) NOTE 2: Also do you have the lag times in for the injectors? They should be: 360 0.86 ---- 560 0.82

Are you running speed density or with the MAF? What stage wiring are you running? Have you looked at the E-Mange tuning thread?

Yeah I corrected that -37... Slight oversight on my part lol. I am running with the stock MAF. Ive read over most of the E manage thread, still haven't made it through all 50something pages. Only thing I am slightly concerned about is that I have read that a number of people have had problems getting these Evo Injectors to cycle. I went out and added up to 10 and removed up to 20 and nothing really changed. Sits pegged at .96

I was running the EVO's for some time (about 1 1/2 years) and it can be done though I am/have been at stage 3 wiring (full control) if your only adjusting the MAF Hz it might be a different situation to get it to work for you. Allot of the idle problems come from the injector lag time, but if your at stage one then it does not matter.

If you want you can upload your setup and I would be glad to take a look at it (also note what software version your running as well.)

for the setup you have, you wouldnt need to go all the way to stage 3, unless you wanted to tune it with the global injector sizing feature, its a nice feature and easy to way to get it driveable to get it to a shop to get it tuned with speed density, but if you do it that way you will run into the 100% injector duty cycle problem, and they explain how to overcome that in the emanage thread. people that go to stage 3 always tend to go speed density.

but if your new to tuning i would start with stage 1 and move up from there once your were understanding it more.

you could wire it to stage 2.5 and use the air flow correction map and tune using method 1 until you get it running good to try speed density, either stage is good for speed density, its just at this stage you cant subtract fuel(other then changing the air flow correction map) and you cant use the global injector sizing feature, but at this stage you wont run into the 100% injector duty cycle problem with your current set up
