Default Emu Timming Issue Lets Fix It

I have messed with my EMU and I believe that if some one with a data logger plays with the cam angle offset angle (found under the car preferences) they can figure out the magic # that will get the emanage to display actual timing. Will some one please do this ASAP. I have my fingers crossed

Run v1.14 if timing is that important to you.

It's 120 degrees off when it freaks out, so try +120, if that is still way wrong, try -120. there will be a +/- 3 degree difference between cars. This is where you need a timign light. it's pretty easy to tell what it is supposed to be because when it freaks out, you can typically see the before and after effect.

I already posted this information on the thread you made a few days ago. did it not work?????????????

Anyone tested if the latest v2.20 fixed that?

Our ignition type is MT_1 and is not mentioned so I'd say it has not been fixed.

V2.20 english is missing an entry that comes up with an error. Here's the fix, and some spelling mistakes corrected by yours truly.

Yeah, it's not

I really don't buy their explanation that they don't have a GTO or the engine is broken, it's clearly a bug in their software and they have fixed it for several other engine types, hard to image where would they need a car to fix the bug for MT_1 as well I'm sure there are people who would beta-test or whatever if they fixed it. If they really don't have any sw-simulator in-house.

I buy that excuse. 3000GT/GTO's are RAAAAARRRRRE in Japan. It's an old, BIG car that gets crappy gas mileage that nobody wants and is only modded by "a few" specialized shops (kinda like America, but with more expensive gas and smaller streets). I have been over there a couple of times and I didnt' see a single one on the road at ANY time. the only ones I saw "at all" last time I went were in Pit Road M's booth at the Tokyo Auto salon (GTO shop #1) and at Kaze Aerocraft's booth (GTO Shop #2). that's it . None of the evo guys are crying over this issue, so they can't really "do" anything about it. the issue will probably not get resolved .

My point was where do they need the car at all? I don't think they will fix the problem by stripping a GTO and looking what's under the hood or carpets. They can already read the ingition signal, it's just that for some reason their software goes mad when certain conditions are met (I just neet to rev over 4000 rpm once and it's there). And the same bug has been already fixed with other engine types, so they probably even know what the problem is, just looks like they are more interested addin new features and support for new devices (to sell more), than spend time fixing even years old bugs.

Wouldn't have gone with the emu if knew how crappy their support is and how much they care about fixing so obvious problems.
