You lost me. I guess I should have indicated which version of emanage I was using at the time because you'll get funny results if you don't use the same version emanage software and firmware as the file version you're trying to read in.

Hey guys do you know if there is any way to get the parameters that the ultimate is logging without using the greddy support software? Im trying to integrate some kind of emu feed back into my carpc, but don't want to leave the emanage application running...
Ive been trying to find any info on the protocol that the ultimate is working on, but i haven't been able to find anything... Im considering debugging the usb communications while logging with the application, but if its already been done id rather not reinvent the wheel... |

Thanks blackstealth, it would be much easier to communicate with the blue since its completely serial, i guess ill have to try and see if its even possible..
Im hoping that the ultimate has two different communication states, one which is read only for data logging ect, and another for writing to it... If i were to keep the emanage software open all the time for real time data logging do you think that would cause any problems? |

Only problem I can think of is hibernation. Upon waking from hibernation the USB driver for emanage might not be hibernate friendly. This can be fixed with some software utilities to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to emanage.

constantly watching the real time data isnt straining the emu's cpu do you think?
i remember people saying that if you were to request all the engine parameters from a obd I ecu that you would be eating up a good chunk of its bandwidth... we shouldn't have any problems like that right? I keep thinking that if it can log directly to its internal memory then it should just as easily be able to send it across the bus. |

A few months ago I configured a custom Hand Held Halo Wideband and Knock gauge and it's window inside my carpc frontend. It looked nice until I decided to change my setup again, lol. |
