Default eManage Ultimate v2.16

Anyone tested yet, what's new?

Hopefully more fixes than new broken features...

Are you still running v1.14? The only bug I'm aware of is the timing numbers reported in the datalogger screws up. The numbers will look normal and then suddenly it goes negative. If I add 120 to the number I get the correct timing numbers again. But this isn't important to me at all as I focus on AFR and knock instead.

A while back you were concerned the incorrect timing numbers produced in the datalog would screw with the timing maps. I can tell you they work independent of each other, so no worries about that one bug causing a problem elsewhere.

I'm currently at v2.13 and enjoyed the improved dataloging scrolling with the arrow keys and all the other improvements made. When my car is put back together next week I'll upgrade to v2.16 and report back on my findings.

I'm still running a really old version...the last one without the timing bug. Wonder if that's fixed yet.

I went on greddy's japan website and used a translator to dig this horrible translation. It looks like we missed some other updates in between too.

V2.16

NISSAN VQ35HR ignition timing indication and correspondence.

I/J when exchanging and setting, I/J correcting the trouble which has the fact that

all geyser it does to start of the following injection with the injection timing of

input.

Parameter with setting, the throttle setting of Matsuda 13B those which are

"REVERSE" setting in "NORMAL" correction. Parameter initial value of invalid

injection time of setting I/J in "0" modification.

V2.15

Sea bass M16A ignition timing indication additional and correspondence.

Engine type you do not recognize air flow input potential at the time of Univerasl,

output correcting the trouble which is not.

Data with the logger, correcting the fact that negative indication is not possible

with MIN/MAX of air flow correction value.

Wording addition at time of password NG when protect and setting.

At the time of CH modification of the parameter setting of I/J and ignition,

correcting the fact that the use CH of MAP2 is not indicated.

v2.14

HONDA correcting the fact that it cannot select the ignition timing indication of

logger indication item setting at portion of the car.

When external output and with setting MAP, at the time of ON LINE the scale is

modified with page UP and DOWN, correcting the fact that range selection is

cancelled.

When air flow with classification "SB_HW-3" engine type is modified in Univerasl,

correcting the fact that it becomes "SB_HW-4".

V2.13

Engine type addition and correction of file.

At the time of offline, correcting the fact that item of data taking MAP does not

come out.

Data correcting the fact that charging efficiency indication of the logger wobbles.

When at the time of DIP switch OFF of front panel, the setting data is transmitted,

correcting the fact that it becomes ON.

CH setting knock signal frequency to "normal" with setting, when it designates

parameter setting as OK, correcting the fact that the frequency "normal" which it

sets goes out.

No wonder I had problems with version 2.15. I used a flounder instead of sea bass.

But no seriously, the last version I used was 2.13. Next time I work on a car with the EMU, I'll have to try this version.

I will try it tomorrow, even those release details suggest there's nothing new to our cars... Have been running v2.13 since it was released, with all the bugs in the ignition, rpm signal, launch control etc, plus many "just" annoying bugs. Even reported those to Greddy, but never got any reply.

i think they called our cars a seabass m16A which would be Z16A, maybe im wrong.

But ummmm, that does look like our problem that was fixed in 2.15.

Ignition timing is still broken, suddenly goes to -9x.x etc.

Crank angle signal for RPM is still broken

Launch control with RPM's as rpm signal is still broken

Even all the misspellings are still there, looks like completely useless update once again. Trusts/Greddys support for the software in really a big joke. If had known that would have never bought the EMU

The Crank Angle Sensor shows up noisy (see saw waveform) on the EMU for 3S cars. You might wanna swap CAM and CRANK signals and see if that makes the RPM waveform normal looking, as this fix worked on other car platforms that had a similar problem. Other cars have absolutely no problems using the Crank Angle sensor for a smooth RPM signal alternative.

The only spelling correction I spotted was "airflow output map". They still have "cancel" spelled incorrectly. Once upon a time ago I corrected all the greddy spelling mistakes and even formatted the spacing a little better by editing the e-manage2US.txt file.

Might be the same problem, but it's not fixed in 6G72. And they have both M16A and 6G72 angines listed, so I guess it's not the same.

Anyway, makes it even stranger that they had found the bug and fixed it in one engine type, but didn't bother to check the other engine types for the same bug..
