never a dull moment

Yesterday Caffie was nice enough to come to my house and check over my emanage for me. It ended up being all wired in correctly, so we installed the emanage program on my laptop and went to make some corrections. It would let us change the injector, previous was set for 400, but wouldnt let us get to the maps. Every time the program would lock up. Even when we went and pluged it into caffies emanage. We tried every diff update there is for the thing. Any suggestions?
Another thing that I am curious about is the emanage light. When mine was talking to the computer it just stayed on. When caffies was talking it would be blinking. WTF is up with that? Would love to have thoughts on this. Thanks Coop

Is it a Blue or Ultimate?.
I`ve never had a problem updating maps or crashing with the Blue, are you using a real serial port or a usb convertor?. I`ve got a Toshiba laptop for the cars, one of the few that come with a real serial port, also use this with the Meagsquirt on the other car. Can you re-load the firmware onto the E-manage?, the latest one is v1.49 I think?

i had a major problem with emanage blue. Are you getting like 9 error pop ups when you first click on it?

mine also blinks when linked w/ the computer. I use one of those ebay cables w/ serial built in. You do not get any error indiactors (light flashing?). Weird it did the same in another car. I would try a firmware updates.

Mine doesnt require that but gosh (can't remember who) said that is how his was. Possible your's was used eith an E01 before?
