Well heres the deal, i want to be able to directly GET [read only] any parameter from the emu. This would be great for people who already have a carpc... hopefully at the end of all this I can get a framework for people to write some front end gauges ect...

wow this might actually be able to turn into something... im able to communicate with the emu, well sort of... i gotten access to the emanage's onboard uart, but im not sure what the connection settings are since im not able to get an usable data out of it... going to do some more research on the emanage blue's serial protocol and see if that sheds any light....

What ive discovered so far:
The usb functions are handled by a MSIC by Silicon Labratories, its called USBXpress model CP210x Mixed-Signal ICs - USB to UART Bridge You can download the api for the chip, but be warned that the greddy software won't work if you install the usbxpress drivers.. so far, i can connect to the device and open a serial connection, but im just trying to find the speed stuff... ill look into the blue serial protocol a little more, hopefully the ultimate will also be the same... Ill mess around more with it tomorrow |
