Well its pretty cold here in Northern Indiana and I need some startup help from you guys. In warm weather my car started beautifully with no excessive cranking, now that its colder it will crank for ~4 seconds, start up, but when the rpm offset comes back down it will die about 4 seconds after start up. I'm attaching a log w/ my cal file. One other issue is the Knock 1 & 2 Error is On. I'm not sure why, but does it have to do with the knock sensor calibration table? All help is very appreciated.

I'd try adjusting the fuelling in the warmup enrichment table. (Fuel -> Advanced -> Trims -> Warmup).

Anyone have a map for a 92 stealth with dr-650s and 680 cc injectors? Also does anyone know the serial number off of the EGT sensor that plugs into the AEM, also where would you recommend it be placed?
Thanks

Does anyone have any maps that might work with mods listed below.

Injectors: PTE 680s
MAP: I have a GM 3 bar and an AEM 5 bar (prefer the 5 bar)
GM AIT
Turbos: GT368s
FMIC
Ignition: MSD DIS2
Fuel: 93 and a 110 map would be nice
WB: PLX M300

Thanks all. I know how to use the AEM (had one on my last talon) but a good starting map makes things so much easier.

I have a wierd problem. I have a map provided to me by Ben and I'm very thankful for it. the car is up and running, and I've been working on tuning it though I haven't been able to do much at all due to lack of time. But there is one thing that has been bugging me. When I go WOT, as soon as I hit about 5800 rpm my car stops reving. I can't accelerate past that rpm. I checked and confirmed what my rpm limit was and it is 7300 fuel cut and 7200 spark cut, so I cant see how it could be that. What else might it be? If anybody wants to look at a log of the event and my map settings I'd be very thankful. I don't have the data on this computer but I can get it on the web shortly. thanks for any help anybody can supply.

Sure_ you can email over your 1311_workmap, rename it so i know who it's from and I can see where the glitch is, if_ it's in the EMS or not, and in the mechanicals/electrical.

Question Re: AEM Ultimate Resource Thread>>>>

Hi guys, is it alright to post my n00b questions in this thread?

Firstly, I'm coming to the end of a rebuild, and I figure I should fit an EMS at the same time. My spec;

1992 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo (2nd gen engine, single O2 sensor & no EGR),
13T turbos,
FMIC with stainless hard pipes,
Twin filters with stainless intake pipes,
450CC DSM injectors,
Direct Port wet nitrous,
Forged Wiseco pistons,
Balanced and weight matched stock rods.

I'm looking to get the AEM EMS, GM boost solenoid (with connector), AIT, 3.5 bar AEM MAP sensor and a single AEM UEGO wideband controller/probe Where is the best place to buy the kit? Horsepowerfreaks.com have a package with all that in one, but are there any cheaper suppliers?

A lot of the people who have fitted dual widebands seem to spend a lot of time chasing why their front and rear banks are running at different AFR. Do these problems tend to be genuine readings which prove the value of dual WBO2s, or minor instrumentation errors causing needless headaches to get in the way of actually tuning the car? As my car is a genuine JDM GTO ( ) it only has a single O2 sensor located just before the main cataytic converter as standard. If I simply fit a single wideband at the end of the downpipe, will this be acurate to set-up, tune and correct with?

Does anyone here run with EGT probes? Which are best, the K-type thermocouples running through an AEM EGT controller, or the straight AEM RTD thermocouples with no controller? I understand that EGT is more important in tuning top end than the O2 readings, especially when adding a squirt of nitrous into the equation - any thoughts and/or experience on this? Again, would a single wideband O2 sensor be adequate for tuning 22 psi of boost with a 150 shot of nitrous on top, do I even require any EGTs?

I think's all my questions for now . Great thread by the way, it's just a shame we can't start new ones with more specific set-up questions in the forum.

Steve

Not to be harsh but you need to read more about EMS. I suggest to read AeM Basic EFI , load software on the laptop and play with the interface until you think you understand 20%.
I have a map for 97 with 660 to get you started.
Send me IM.
