Well crud...My first attempt at Start this evening is a "No Start".
One alert symptom (in my view) is indication that the Engine Speed remains unchanged at 0 throughout the duration of cranking (aprox 30 seconds) I'm rewinding and thinking through mechanics of the entire install. Nothing has struck me yet as a potential source of problem to examine. This is really broad - could be anthing - type of post so low expectation that I have enough info for anyone to venture a diagnosis...will update when I figure this out. Attached is the AEMLOG |

I Loaded the Firmware and Cal (V1.11) you AIMed me about 2 weeks ago but changed to adjust TPS Setup.
Offline...When I open the WorkMap - which should be equal to what is currently residing within the EMS at this time (as I understand it). I tried to graph one of the tables - the Ign Map. Message came up that says: "Cannot Draw map -- calibrate axis table(s) First"... a clue here? |

If engine speed = 0 then the crank/cam sensors might not be plugged in. Check the connectors by the timing belt just to verify they are clipped properly. Simple, but ya never know...

Thanks... but yeah, both crank and cam angle sensor plugs are secure. The AEM Log actually does provide indications of activity from those sensors. For My DEFI LINK Gauges, if I recall correctly, I do have a tap into either (or both) the RPM and Speed leads in harness connecting to ECM. I wonder if there is some conflicting event going on around that. Would not think so but I'm sort of all over the map considering possibilities. |

Has anyone seen these gauges?
If you have an AEM EMS or are thinking about getting one, definitely read this. These hot new EMS gauges from AEM will revolutionize the way you view your vital engine stats. These gauges are completely customizable and can display any parameter in the AEM EMS in real time. You can chain gauges together to have them each display different parameters. You can also have one gauge display multiple parameters and switch back and forth between them with the push of a button. The gauges display both a numerical value and graphical value along the outer edge. The graphical values are completely customizable. If you want max boost set at 15psi to show red bars from there on up, you simply program that in. For those of you that have boost gauges that don't read high enough, this is your answer, you can program the gauge limits! You can also set up warnings for every parameter you want. If a warning comes up for your A:F ratio when your gauge is displaying boost, the gauge will flash and show you the A:F ratio and it's warning. You can even set up warnings that combine multiple settings. For example, you would not want to have an A:F warning at 14.7:1 during normal driving because that is perfectly fine. But under boost you'd want it to enter into a warning mode if it was that lean. This is the most customizable gauge in the market today and you don't need any sensors with it. It simply reads off your AEM Engine Management System. These gauges are scheduled to be delived to us in 2 weeks, so lock in your order today to ensure you get one.
